Quote from: Baile BrigĂn 2 on Today at 02:04:26 PMWe are making a big assumption that the EU want them back or even want to renegotiate closer ties.

The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, expressed her support for the UK eventually rejoining the EU. In September 2023 Keir Starmer, leader of the Labour Party and the now-Prime Minister of the UK, ruled out the possibility of the UK rejoining the EU under a Starmer-led Labour government.
2 absolute c***ts I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw...

Its the same lazy bullshit equating being anti Israel with being anti semetic. The Zionists are saying that Jews opposing the Israeli genocide aren't real Jews.

Quote from: bennydorano on Today at 11:40:16 AMThink he has a point on this one tbh, but I'm much more interested to know why Linehan's very much pro-Israel and frequently getting involved in rows. I know he's entitled to his opinions, I had been assuming there was Jewish heritage with him and/or the ex-wife, but no.
He's not even close to having s point on this ffs

Quote from: Armagh18 on May 12, 2026, 10:45:28 AMHeslin back in with Westmeath?

Out of retirement and back in training ahead of Leinster SFC final against Dublin.  Be interesting to see will he feature Sunday, quality player but surely other forwards training since November should be ahead of him in the pecking order.
Who knows, might be a chance off the bench. Would be good to see him get a provincial medal some player!

Surely a mistake for the UUP to try and be more staunch?

Any decent people voting for them will jump to Alliance and the knuckle draggers will always go TUV/DUP so they'll get pulled apart from both sides, abit like Labour with Greens/LidDems and the Reformatories.

Quote from: illdecide on May 12, 2026, 11:59:58 AMMonaghan will not be easy beat and have been like that for a long time now. I do still think Armagh will win but the winning margin is anyones guess...Armagh are so unpredictable but the last game v Down was the first in a long time where they kept the throttle down for the whole game.
I'll guess Armagh 2-20 Monaghan 1-18
Hoping we do similar, if we play to our best for 70 minutes we'll beat Monaghan, if we don't it'll be a total dogfight, we've never got anything easy against those huers.

Hopefully no extra time and certainly no fecking penalties. Looking like a nice day in the metropolis of Clones at least.

Quote from: Minus15 on May 11, 2026, 09:53:04 PMColin Bell has announced his retirement.
I couldn't find a thread for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

What a tremendous legacy for Kevin. An unbelievable charity that has helped so many.

Was mentioned in the good news thread but deserves a thread of its own. Hard to find the words for much good the trust has done for people going through awful times and obviously born out of such a tragedy for the Bell family.

The very best to Colin for the future.

Good people who turned a tragedy into help for people.

The freedom of the nation to them.

Wish them nothing but the best. Have helped so many. Colin was on the gaa social last year and unfortunately his phone rang I think 3 separate times while recording for repatriations. Unbelievable work they do

Quote from: lurganblue on May 11, 2026, 10:04:39 AMDecent free kick from Rashford that. I doubt they will keep him. Id take him back to Villa no problem, but for him it looks like being in the likes of Spain, Germany or Italy would be much better in terms of press scrutiny.
It's the wages thats the problem, Barca won't want to pay him 300k plus a week.

Serious game for the neutral, well done to the Rossies. Both sides a decent chance at an All Ireland if they can play to their best.

Quote from: playwiththewind1st on May 10, 2026, 09:07:40 PMI am very sorry; mea maxima culpa.

I will try not to describe the English electorate as "thick", in future.

Shall we go with "unsophisticated" maybe?
Anyone voting for Reform is a simple ****. No other way about it.
