Rumours going around that Killoe had 16 men on the pitch at one stage and kicked a point while he was. Could be looking at a replay or Killoe forfeiting the game.

Precedent set with Laois/Armagh . Will probably have to be in ref's report. Slashers could demand investigation . if a re fixture is granted it would have to be next weekend as the last 2 games must be played together at same time . If game is voided will red card stand , by all reports it was harsh . Micheal Quinn thought to have broken his ankle  tonight , 2nd county player to suffer a serious injury as Rory Connor suffered a potential career ending knee injury last week

Colmcille (not in the quarter-finals) beat Carrickedmond (in the quarter-finals) by 2-23 to 1-10 yesterday so there seems to be a sizeable gap in standards between two of the groups and the third.

Too many teams in the Senior Championship. I understand that the weak group was made so that these teams would have competitive games...but if you need to manufacture competitiveness then surely those teams shouldn't be in the division. I would argue that Ballymahon, Rathcline and Fr. Manning Gaels are Intermediate sides and by placing them back there it would increase the competitiveness of both the Senior AND Intermediate championships.

Keep 10 teams. 2 groups of 5. Top team to semis, 2nd and 3rd teams to quarters and have bottom team in each playoff. Lots of meaningful games. Weak divisions make a mockery of the group stages.

Aye - semi finals follow the logic so it could be a Slashers v Columba's semi final.

I see somone, not unrelated to Boots, has complained on Twitter that the championship is flawed cos the 8 best teams aren't in the qf.

He's right - Granard should be there instead of Carrick-jasusing-edmond.
