I know Iran are not our friends but their Pikey call out LEGO videos on Trump are next level trolling. Very very slick.

Talk of a row with her former bestie, a Brazilian model, deported after 20 years in the States when she divorced a mate of Donald. Not happy with Melania and threatening to "spill the dirt".

On last night's evidence hard to see how Liverpool turn this around.

But PSG have left the door open in missing enough to win several games. So if Liverpool can somehow score early, get the crowd going which then energises the team, could be in for a game. But that's a good Paris team, they will get more chances. Taking them or not may decide the tie.

Quote from: DaleCooper on April 08, 2026, 12:04:53 PMUS begged off because Israel was getting wrecked. Iran have made their first major mistake agreeing to this, now they have a breather to rearm or pull some other subterfuge. The terms are ridiculous.

Now we see the purpose of the pilot rescue story[even though elements are genuine] was to rally MAGA into victory mode.

Morale boost, then the nuke threat then peace. Looks like Iran blinked first from their POV.

Just reveals the lack of options US has, as many pointed out. Total humiliation.
Yeah that thought crossed my mind. Israel need to replenish Iron Dome and US need more hardware. Vance called it a fragile truce. And their killing of negotiators previously and bombing in the middle of talks wouldn't point to a ceasefire having any real meaning.
I suppose the only thing that could make US back down is how real the Iranian threat is to holding the Straits closed or damaging Gulf States oil, gas and electricity infrastructure for years to come.
But even at that, it again depends on how reasonable or sane the US/Israel strategy is  :o

Quote from: lurganblue on April 08, 2026, 11:26:36 AMWhy did I decide to watch Arsenal instead of Madrid/Bayern? Horrible decision.
Struggled through first 40 mins. Gave up.

Quote from: johnnycool on April 08, 2026, 09:11:29 AMSo much winning for Donny:

14M Chinese Yuan ($2M) per boat out of there is some deal.

If thats real Iran have absolutely come out on top in terms of that deal, I'd be surprised if theres no mention of not developing a nuke on any deal.
I think that ship has sailed. There's no way Iran are not going for a nuke, especially with the actions of Israel and the fact that they also hold them illegally with no inspections or signup to NPT. Plus the fact that any deal they sign is worthless anyway and can be thorn up by the US or Israel on any old whim.

Apparently they are well beyond 60% enrichment at this stage, with massive upgrades to their centrifuges since Trump ripped up Obama's deal, enrichment having gone into overdrive since.

Strange times. Only Trump could make MTG sound sane.
MTG is in tune with the base who don't want war.
She has been in tune with a lot of whacky extreme stuff, albeit all domestic, and it was a sign of the times that someone like her could have the ear of the most powerful political office in the world. But turns out she is a moderate compared to what's there. How the tables have flipped :o .

We'll see what new madness Wednesday morning brings, hopefully it's all bluster. If they crank it up anymore we'll be in fuel rationing territory very soon.

Quote from: bennydorano on April 05, 2026, 07:17:18 PMVery hard to see Celtic winning the title at this stage, every game is a firefighting session. Alaistair J must be near ready to come back?? Need some sort of boost
Very poor defensively which will be a problem but on the other hand take Rogers and Nancy games out of it and probably would be poised to see it out ok. But it's a game of momentum and firefighting would be a good way to describe run in, O'Neill factor aside.

Don't understand VAR. Stach milled out of it 2 yards after the ball but no foul cos it was a "natural coming together" and the gospel according to McCoist the fact he got his shot away means no foul  ::). Nmecha then gets booked for minimal contact if any, mistimed slide by a few millimetres.

The Good Lord Bird worth a watch. Ethan Hawke is excellent in it.

Be handy if there was one in the Oval Office.

Quote from: J70 on April 02, 2026, 09:16:39 PMYeah, but it's all about raising your profile on the MAGA gravy train.

A third of the US population are completely invested in this ethos of bigotry, hatred and pseudoscience. This stuff will not die with Trump.

The Epstein class are in it for the patronage, government contracts, and business influence.

If you keep a high profile, you can cash in on whichever branch of the MAGA tree you represent.
Maybe there's the promise of presidential pardons too. That's something that seriously needs looking at. A nonsensical concept. And especially if a person premeditatedly breaks the law on the promise of one in the future, surely making it void in the first place.
