Ryan McMenamin
Conor Gormley
Justin McMahon
Enda McGinley
Sean Cavanagh
Tommy McGuigan
Colm McCullagh
Brian Dooher

all of them must be contenders

McGuigan McGinley  Cavanagh  McMenamin in particular have been superb

McMenamin superb?? Ask Benny Coulter what he thinks!

Come on now - Mc Menamin has been superb - He made slip against down fair enough, but his form has been superb -

Will Benny even get nominated ?

No he definitely won't. I wasn't saying he would.

Benny has been Down's best forward - so he should get a nomination in my book.

If Paddy Bradley can, no reason Benny can't ;)

Yeah he was downs best forward but they haven't done enough to warrant a nomination. Dan Gordon was Down's best player IMO but I don't think he deserves a nomination either.

I honestly reckoned if you read my earlier posts that Dan would actually get an award.

Na I don't think so, only two midfield positions up for grabs, and even in ulster mcgrane and mcgrath alone would warrant nomination ahead of him. He was brilliant early on but the sending off again laois and the no show again wexford won't help!

most of the All Stars are decided by the business end of the season
mostly quarter finals onwards - id say the Tyrone boys mentioned have done themselves no harm.

I know McMenamin made a mistake against Down, but I dont think this should exclude him from getting an All star
I think he was excellent against Westmeath and against Mayo (scored a fantastic point) and had a great game against the Dubs.

After last Saturday's defect will Dublin get any All Stars at all ???

Alan Brogan ???

Cluxton conceded 3 goals to Tyrone ??

Doesn't matter a damn.  He's still "the best in the business" according to Darragh Moloney and McStay.

And these people are paid for their opinions!

No Dublin allstar this year imo.
Am honest enough to say we don't really deserve one although Alan B might nick one.

What I want to know is can anyone really hold a candle to laim mcbarron. The man is a scoring machine and just cannot be stopped. A shoo-in certainly. Francies just lucky that o'rourke didnt unleash the beast on him....

I would have Cluxton in nets before Devine anyday.

Indeed, but Cluxton's kick outs were poor imho on Saturday. Maybe Saturday was the day when James Reilly won his All Star?
