Purely anecdotal, just in case![]()
Son went to trinity so can speak from experience
Daughter applied for ucd and was also accepted but ended up at queens as mates didn't go to Dublin
Reality for the good degrees in ucd/ trinity you need 4 a levels but tbf you need a serious high number of points in the south also .
Should nationalist politicians be looking at stuff like that and making it more accessible to students from the six counties to study at southern universities? That's a simple, practical step they could try to do.
And on that, I know a lad who's son was trying to get registered as a teacher in the south. He wanted to live in Dublin. Qualified in St. Mary's, Belfast but the hassle and grief he was put through to get registered with the Teaching Council was unreal. He said it'd be easier to get registered if you were from Australia.
He said the grilling and paperwork he had to put in was crazy. Ironic thing is, he said, is that there's a severe shortage of teachers in the south, especially in Dublin and commuter belt areas on the eastern seaboard.
Again, this is an area tht nationalist politicans should be working on - making it more accessible to northerners.
One of my kids wants to go into teaching but has no idea how/where to apply in the south. There are a very small number of teaching places here each year so it would make sense to apply elsewhere to be in with a chance, most seem to go to England - which she doesn't want to do.
Can anyone point me in the direction of where to look for courses in ROI uni? Or do you have to go to each Uni site and search all of them individually?
The school doesn't seem to know!

And has Lane not be unofficially disappeared by the CCCC.
how often has action been taken when something has been in the report? D Connolly and the linesman for one? Thats wasnt dealt with on the day if memory serves me right
Rules have changed since then on what the CCCC can and can't do. Had that incident occurred today in the same way the CCCC would be powerless.

Our only opportunity was him failing to get Ipswich promoted, the other names on list are not very inspiring tbh.Think we should all be doing what we can. They've been committing war crimes against Palestinians long before they opened the gates for Hamas in 2023.
Give me your honest opinion on Keane and his time in Isreal...Before you all blast me i'm 100% behind the Palestine and what Isreal are doing is beyound belief but is the abuse RK getting for working there for 6 months warranted?. Genuine question...Don't quote me on this but I'm led to believe he started there before this whole kicked off and obvioulsy didn't hang around too long afterwards and I doubt very much he was singing or dancing around in support of Israel (if there is evidence of this I'd certainly change my tune) but where do we draw the line regarding abusing anyone that has some sort of affiliation with Israel. If Ireland play them in the fixture coming up in qualifers and fly their flag and play their national anthem in Aviva stadium will the Country go into meltdown?. Like are we still buying foods or anything connected with them feckers from Supermarkets etc, I just think we're selecting certain things to suit us...should be all in or nothing.
Was Biton ever in the IDF

Actually, what did he say that was so bad?
the lads father asked for his death not to be used. Farage just went ahead and did it
These parasites live off the anguish of others, no shame either, Farage only interested in lining his pockets

I've said it a million times before. America solved this problem decades ago. Why it's so hard to bring in here I just do not know .
Home team should wear a shirt that's no less than 90% white. Away team should wear a shirt that's no more than 10% white. No exceptions, no nearlies. Just make it the law.

And only phone am ambulance when he non-responsive. What sort idiots they hiring these days. Lad said he stabbed, bleeding, phone an ambulance first thing.
They handcuffed him because they took the guilty party at his word that Nowak was the racist aggressor, there were no injuries to Vickrum Digwa.
There is no way they intended to allow someone to die though, this was the worst level of judgement that could have happened
Though its being weaponised by those that quite frankly couldn't give a stuff about anything else as long as it pushes their agenda
Few things that need to come out of it though
These ceremonial knives need to be a thing of the past, knife crime in the UK is horrendous and for those that claim it's part of their religion to have these knives about them is a goner, importing and the sale of knives should be banned, other than cooking and eating knives, why are they actually allowed? Hunting? ffs! that should be banned too
Full independent investigation on how these cops conducted that situation, lessons and re training of arresting procedures and for those that were involved disciplinary and possible charges brought
The pain and suffering of his family will have to endure more when the far right start using it for their own push though

Major concerns I'd have was obviously our own kickouts but that's going to be a feature throughout the year I fear given our midfield injuries.Quote from: tonto1888 on June 01, 2026, 01:26:19 PMI was a AVA Festival on sat night so have only seen the highlights. Of all these wides, how many were actually from good scoring positions without an Armagh man putting pressure on them?Armagh always seemed in control tbh.
Even the scores at the end to bring it from 8 points ton5 smacked of Armagh just cruising towards the finishing line.
Would say though that across the board Armagh weren't great , simply did what was needed as such .
We were fairly good outside of that when we did get hands on the ball and probably unlucky with a poor ball across to Murphy for his goal chance and McGrane fluffing his lines with another, typical the 2 best goal chances fall to the corner backs!
Also, what a fecking hit from TK, thought at the time it was a mishit shot for a point but looking back he meant it.
