He released a single at Christmas 2006 entitled "Christmas My A*se" which reached No. 25.

If that doesn't qualify him......

Martin O'Neill has returned to lead Celtic for the rest of the season after Wilfried Nancy was sacked.
Celtic moved quickly to take O'Neill back after his successful interim spell before Nancy's appointment.

Wonder is Baldrick from Blackadder on the Celtic Board nowadays? It's all been so completely bizarre recently that it just has to have "cunning plan" stamped all over it.

Can remember going to see him years ago, in the King's Hall in Belfast. He has some great stuff in his back catalogue. I always thought that he was a bit under appreciated & that he deserved to be more widely recognised & a bigger star than maybe he actually was.

If you look at the current compensation guidance, £65,000 is a pretty large settlement.

I have handed out far less money in the past whilst sitting on Industrial Tribunals for what would seem to be far more egregious behaviour within the workplace.

On that 65k is she taxed on that?

https://www.thompsons.law/support/legal-guides/settlement-agreements-and-tax

Reading that, there's a possibility. However, if that's the case, then presumably the Equality Commission negotiator might have sought to up the proposed settlement, to cover any tax liability.

His lawn must be   6 foot high and the dishes piled high in  the sink.

He needs  a hobby or a sport to play. Maybe he  could join East Belfast GAA and  make use of  that hurl of his?
Who is this guy? Or more importantly, how does he consistently get access to the courts immediately despite not being a lawyer? And he keeps losing/wasting the courts time too...

He was up before me on a couple of back to back Industrial Tribunals, both of which went against his clients. One of his clients had £10,000 in costs awarded against him although, to be fair, Jamie had stopped representing him, by the time that we arrived at that stage.

"Covid-era schemes designed to stimulate the economy cost the taxpayer £10.9bn in fraud, the Sunday Mirror reports, ahead of the publication of a report on Tuesday".

There you go, yet another complete & utter f**k up; there's not a hope in hell of recovering any of that. It's no wonder there's a so-called economic black hole, when any spiv or shyster can get a bucket load of money for free & no meaningful checks were made, or reasonable questions asked, at the time.

Clearly there's more than a blind eye being turned towards it + there's over £119m in unpaid rates & whatever else goes on.

Instead of going to the Brits & asking for more money, every single time, maybe they could put their own house in order, for a change.

Is the unpaid rates figures part of the benefit fraud £233?

2 different issues, as far as I know, so there's £350 millions for starters, either being shelled out fraudulently in benefits, or not being collected by the LPA.

And they have the barefaced cheek to propose taking the 4% discount away from those who pay their rates off in full @ the start of the financial year, instead of chasing those f**kers who won't pay a penny.

Quote from: Munchie on December 01, 2025, 01:20:07 PMShe never believed in scrapping the two-child benefit, that was to keep her job.

Everything they do is  to keep their jobs.

Last year, Starmer stopped winter fuel payments.  Months later , he reinstated it.  All because he seen  the writing on the wall after poor  council election results .  And  nothing to do with the  country's finances .

Parasitic b@stards, every  one of them.

I am glad to report that I actually managed to obtain my 1st ever Winter Fuel Allowance payment just last week [well, half of it, as it had to be split in two between me & my better half, apparently] & I still possess my senior bus pass. I am looking forward to my £10 Christmas bonus payment now. I also can't overlook the fact that the ISA allowance for the over 65s stayed at the £20K annual level too. I say "Huzzah" for our Labour government & may god bless Sir Keir & Rachel for all their efforts over the past 18 months, or so. As long as the Russians/Chinese/North Koreans don't invade, everything is looking very rosy indeed.

Can you explain the  benefits of the ISA?

Is it a  way to  hide some savings away from  government eyes and their tax collectors or what?    ;)

Never fully understood it

As outlined, you can squirrel away £20K a year into a cash ISA & you will pay no tax on the interest. However, you can also put your money elsewhere into a non ISA product & as long as you don't earn more than £1,000 in interest, it's non-taxable up to that level too. So, you need to shop around & make a call on where you want to invest.

It's difficult to 'hide' savings away within the banking system lol, as the banks all report interest payments to HMRC, as I found out recently, when HMRC came looking a bit of money from me.

If your income is deemed to be over £35,000, HMRC will claw the Winter Fuel Allowance back again.

Presumably the good old Antrim refeeeing expenses cheque won't be as much as that!!!
