Quote from: doh827 on November 14, 2025, 03:36:04 PMSo will rodgers be suspended for mckenna cup since he was sent off in the last final

Hopefully Slaughtneil are still in the Hurling so he'll be unavailable anyway... be deserving of a break even if they aren't, save him for the league

Quote from: Jerome on November 13, 2025, 09:36:07 AMI'm sure when people get married they aren't planning their divorce. Things happen, when they put the plan forward they certainly thought they could sustain the numbers all year. I would say you will see a better return this year. I personally would rather have a seperate development league but this is what the county board has decided. User Square_ball typical of the TikTok generation wants everything instant or its no good.
I think there is merit in a development league like the thirds model in Derry. I would say more clubs might enter a development team(s) in a development thirds league independent from Junior football.

Derry have a separate recreational reserve league and knockout for thirds teams. I'm not sure if it's over 35s or not. May have been at one stage

Thirds in Derry isnt great, clubs fielding thirds teams but not Reserves, no age limits on it so heavy crossover between reserves and 3rds and I've seen it used to get Senior lads back to full fitness. Not very recreational either, many rows been had

Gordon Lyon's trying to sell Belfast hosting the Euro 2028 draw as a win after the city losing out on hosting actual matches, embarrassed for him  :-[

Derrys more impressive considering how many clubs have contributed to that, Armagh and Down being so high on the list is largely down to 2 teams

Top 4 the only optimistic target for this season now?

Derry man noseying into the hurling chat here and ive been thinking likes of Lisbellaw and Castleblaney would make up the vast majority of their county panels so those clubs players have all the luxuries of an inter county player so does that give them an unfair advantage against the likes of Swatragh who have hardly any county reps. It goes back the GAA trying to do away with inter county teams for counties with less than 5 clubs

Slaughtneil camogs well beaten by Loughiel, is Derry Camogie already suffering from the rise of women's football in the county?

Katie McCabe not wearing a poppy and the local news outlets bringing attention to it will bring criticism her way. If enough Irish sports stars grew some balls and refused to wear it it'd cease to be an issue

Do Dup still hold enough seats for the veto/Petition of concern? If not I'm sure it wont be hard to gather the extra couple needed for him to survive

Quote from: lurganblue on October 31, 2025, 02:08:55 PMFirst time ever watching The Traitors.  I probably jumped on the celeb bandwagon here, but it's been absolutely brilliant. Looking forward to the final next week.

Nearly flipped last night thought it was the final for it to end at 10 and say the final episode is a week away! Alan Carr really made the series even though I'd never particularly been a fan of his before
