I do share the KK fatigue.  That county never stops winning! They look to be having an off year(will we see King Henry as their next manager in the near future?).  However the Black Cats have nine lives.  I wouldn't expect it but would not be shocked if they retain top honours in Leinster.  They've such a psychological advantage over the other counties.  Regarding their imminent demise, the posters doth protest too loudly.

That's just it though, they have stopped winning, at most levels, bar their regular Leinster final victories. It's after that things go downhill for them. No guarantee Henry is a silver bullet to cure this malaise either.

Most counties would settle for a provincial title all the same.

If they don't get out of Leinster then Lyng is gone for sure, in fact I'd say he's gone anyway and TBH I can't see Shefflin getting it whilst Cody is still around.

Back to labour.
Has anyone considered the possibility that Burnham doesn't win the by election? They did really really badly there in the council elections last week. Different kettle of fish in a general of course with a potential future leader on the ballot, but he has a huge gap to close. It may be a bridge too far?
How do Makerfield voters feel about their constituency being used like this by the Burnham side of Labour?

could be why starmer isnt gonna block him from running this time round

Close, but no cigar.

It is Tommy Torx, the famous Stoke false number 9, ideal for unlocking secure defenses.

If Galway do come up against a Cork or Limerick there will be no surprise if they lost, but all will depend on the type of loss.

At the start of the year I'm sure all of Galway would have taken the hand off you if you'd said they'd be safe in Div1A and be top of the Leinster championship after resoundly beating Kilkenny, Offaly and Kildare, almost guaranteed to come out of Leinster and a Leinster final berth secured.

Winning a Leinster is probaby the target now, and it really should be although there is time for the wheels to come off O'Donoghues wagon.

I don't see it though as Dublin will provide a sterner task than Wexford and one win from those will secure the final shot.
I'd say all of Galway wants to see Kilkenny fail to get to a Leinster final as they still are Kilkenny, who can turn up in a big way in finals. This year that seems a big step up, but no one of my age will ever rule out the hoors.

Wee Seamus is hanging up his boots at the end of the season.

He is there 17 years, are testimonials still a thing?

Quote from: brokencrossbar1 on May 14, 2026, 04:56:00 PMThe beauty about this is that it sets it up lovely for Celtic to win on Saturday and the moonbeam conspiracy theorists like Bryson genuinely will end up be escorted away by the men in white coats!

Why does anyone give that p***k the time of day?

He needs the oxygen of exposure to keep relevant, suffocate the hoor.

Quote from: Capt Pat on May 13, 2026, 08:49:13 PMCity struggled to create for the first half hour against Palace but once the first goal went in it has always looked like nore would follow.

Currently 2-0 to City

Won't matter.

Arsenal will pummel Burnley on Monday at the Emirates and then beat Palace on the Sunday.

City could well drop points away to Bournemouth before that.

ANTI-SEMITE!!

you have to be persecuting Semites before you can be called an anti-semite.

Ashkenazi's aren't semites but you knew that anyway.

I was being tongue-in-cheek. I refer you to post #593.

I was indeed being pedantic with my comment about Ashkenazi's not being semites and Gallsman comment about it being "widely understood" is accepted at being anti jew, if being incorrect is probably the accepted understanding, yet the IHRA description of anti-semitism bundles any criticism of Israel as also being anti-semitic.

Those who felt the need to bundle the state of Israel as being an entirely Jewish entity and hence criticism is anti-semitic have done more harm to the Jewish people than they envisaged.

There are plenty of Jewish groups who support and attend the Pro Palestine marches in both London and NYC, so where do they stand on the anti-semitic scale?

Starmer is facing a coup against him and hell slap it up him as those cronies who backed him to replace Corbyn after they worked tirelessly ( (c) Pete Mandelson) to get rid of him and now Starmer is in the firing line.

Hell slap it up him.

Streeting is yet another Zionist shill, so meet the old boss, same as the old boss...

His point is that showing it is anti-semetic. If you think he has a point in that, you could get a job for yourself in some Israeli Government propaganda department.
Again. In typical Glinner fashion he actually has a point but decided to make it in a bombastic and gratuitously offensive way.

He has chosen to make himself irrelevant

I thought it was an apt choice by RTE to be honest on a few different levels, one being the writers current stance on genocide.

If "Glinners" is so upset he'll give his royalties to a charity of his choosing.
