Quote from: LC on March 06, 2026, 12:59:14 PMI see Dan Bilzerian not holding back on his opinions anyway on what he thinks of the good people of Israel.

There's something amiss with these types, there's an odious side to them I can't shake off, but on Israel he's right.

Also,
what has happened to the likes of Tucker Carlson? He's going in big time on Israel and AIPAC as well?

I also believe Piers Morgan invites Pro Israel Zionists onto his show to deliberately demean them as they always get handed their arses on a plate and is now getting sued by some Pro Israel legal type.

Some big games across the divisions this weekend.

The biggie will be the manly Cork lads going up to Limerick on Saturday evening and we may just see how manly they really are.

Limerick don't seem to be desperate for a league title at this juncture in their development, but they certainly won't want to lie down and roll over against Cork with the Munster championship a few short weeks away.
It could get interesting.

Galway welcome Kilkenny to Salthill, this could also tell us a bit more about Galways young guns who to this point have been doing rightly.
For me Lawlor is a huge loss for the Cats, he's irreplaceable and they need to find someone in there who can do a job. Carey isn't the answer, so maybe David Blanchfield would be better suited for the high ball situations, I don't know.
Eoin Cody to be the difference yet again. I think he's the best forward in the game at the minute.

Waterford v Tipp.

With a lot of teams on 4 points, it's still to be seen who goes down with Offaly, the winner of this one gives themselves a bit of breathing space, but won't be secure.
This is Waterfords last chance to get a few league points, so the need is greatest with them.
Tipp finish off with a home game v Kilkenny who are also on 4 points going into this weekend.

The big game in 1B is Clare v Wexford, both unbeaten and both favourites for promotion although the Dubs are still in with a shout in that regard.

The relegation battle comes down to the wire in Newbridge, so whoever loses that is likely to join Down in Div2, especially if Carlow lose, they're banjaxed as it's hard to see anything other than an Antrim win in Newry taking Antrim to 4 points and on head to head they'd go above Carlow.
If Carlow do win then we could end up with 3 teams on 4 points and then I think it's a mini league between all 3 making the Newbridge game almost a 4 pointer for Carlow.

Quote from: Captain Obvious on March 06, 2026, 12:07:57 PMLooking at Manchester City remaining games I foresee them getting 18 points from those games giving them a season total of 78 points.

If my calculations are correct Arsenal will only need 12 points from their remaining nine games and they have Everton,Burnley,Bournemouth,Newcastle,Fulham to play at home.

Only two questions on Arsenal right now.  How many games to spare will they win this seasons Premier League title by? And how good of a Champion are they really?

Won't have the answer to the 2nd question until next season and the manner on how they defend their title, should they fall away as badly like Liverpool have this season then enough said.

Everton's away record is second only to Arsenal.

Corners won't bother the Everton defence since they got their act together from the Newcastle game in Bramley Dock.

Quote from: Look-Up! on March 06, 2026, 09:32:07 AMArteta made a big mistake a few years ago in settling for a draw against City in the run in. Should have laid down a marker and tried to seize momentum as that City were always likely to go on a streak for run-in.

I think this time round a draw leaves it very difficult for this City to win the league. So expect a dour spectacle in their showdown. If Arsenal stay undefeated, realistically 4 wins gets them the league. That's 16 points plus the current gap of 7 leaving City needing to win all the other 8 games. I don't think they will.

I don't want City to win, but if Arteta takes the chicken shit approach, which most likely he will, I don't particularly think Arsenal deserve to win either.

Arsenal got a shitty, deflected goal against Brighton and then parked the bus.

Their one and only shot on target was the goal.

The sphincters are tightening up with Arsenal.

City aren't exactly shooting the lights out either but are more comfortable in this position than Arsenal.

There's a big Ulster contingent starting tomorrow night v Wales.

I don't think I'd question any of them barring Stockdale. I thought he was terrible in the last game he played v France, but so was a lot of others. Time for him to redeem himself but for me for such a big man he can't jump so reclaiming those garryowens (is that still a thing?) he'd need to be much better.

Wales have been improving, but Ireland need to back up the England performance with another big performance to keep momentum going.

There's plenty of similar right wing christian wing nuts in the current US administration without going to Iran or Mayo.

Nut jobs at work

And as sure as night follows day the White House is full of them!

This is not just about the Allianz sponsorship, Allianz are also the GAA's insurance provider in a very limited market.

Yes, get rid of Allianz but trying to get another insurance provider not balls deep in the Zionist project won't be easy
Yet every other sport manages to insure itself...

Who do the IRFU or FAI use?

They may well be using Allianz as well for all we know.

I'm not saying there aren't other options out there.

It's hard to know exactly what is going on.
The Yanks saying they've total control of the airspace over Iran yet the Iranians seem to be able to get loads of missiles and drones off towards Israel and US bases over the middle East.

Somewhere in between is the truth

United haven't been overly great the last couple of games, and tonight was the same, pettering out for a draw against 10 men until yer man scored the worldie.

Carrick will earn his corn in the coming weeks.

This gave me a good laugh.
I think Trump is a bit of a dose but if he solved world hunger these people would cheer for hunger.

Why so?

Irish people who have likely never been within a thousand mile of Iran trying to tell actual real life Iranians that they shouldn't be joyous that their country's brutal dictators 37 year reign is over.

Venezuela is so last month. On to the next trendy outrage.

I don't see it like that. The two are not exclusive. You can disagree with how the US/ Israel got involved and certainly with the indiscriminate manner of the attacks that left a girls school in Minab blown to bits. And believe this is another sign of USreal interfering in overseas affairs. And still accept that the removal of the Supreme leader is a good thing for the country.

The guy actually explains the above views in his statements.

And who will replace the supreme leader in Iran?

The Taliban are back in control of Afghanistan, we've an al-Qaeda lad installed in Syria, we've a mess in Libya and Iraq isn't much better.
There is no Al Qaeda lad installed in Syria, the 'lad' Ahmed al-Sharaa and the provisional government are direct opponents of Al Qaeda.

just ignore his activity before 2015/16?
Though the Kremlin never misses a chance to not forget an item from the past in order to discredit a regime which is counter to its present day interests,  what applied in 2015 in Syria does not apply now to the instituted ideology and policy of the provisional government of Syria which just happens to not only be in direct opposition to the pan Islamic ideology of Al Qaeda but also the Kremlin. Not only was the vicious regime of the tyrant Assad overthrown in Syria but also the prisons were opened up and tens of thousands of the tortured and incarcerated were released and  Russian military presence, a fundamental 'underpinner' of that horrific regime, was expelled from the land.

Big Big Big deflection there... so he was or he wasn't associated with Al Qaeda pre 2015/16?

He was on the US's most wanted list right up to the point they installed him as leader of Syria FFS.

Just like the CIA training Osama Bin Laden as part of the Mujahadeen fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan.

Diaz is the biggest loss Liverpool haven't been able to deal with.

He offered something different, a bit of flair and quality up the field, creating chances for others.

Salah and Gakpo, you know what they're going to do before they do it.

Quote from: Milltown Row2 on March 03, 2026, 10:17:02 PMIf it's any consolation Newcastle will dick Utd tomorrow  ;D

I think they will alright..

As for Wolves, they defended reasonably comfortably for 75 minutes as Liverpool offered SFA going forward.
Then they brought on another Gomez and the big striker and went for it.

It could have went either way at the end as it was end to end stuff.

Fortune favoured the brave

And I just want to thank you. We have a lot of them right here. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you everybody. We have a lot of great service members here with us too in this beautiful building, isn't it beautiful? We're adding on to the building a little bit. We're improving the building. See that nice drape when that comes down, right now, you see a very, very deep hole, but in about a year and a half from now, you're going to see a very, very beautiful building. And there's your entrance to it right there. In fact, it looks so nice. I don't think I'll even -- I think I'll save money on the doors because it can't get more beautiful than that. I picked those drapes in my first term. I always like gold. But I think we can save a lot of money. I just saved -- I just saved curtains. But, uh, and it will be -- it'll be spectacular, be the most beautiful ballroom. I believe it's because I built many a ballroom. I believe it's going to be the most beautiful ballroom anywhere in the world. And when you hear all that hammering out there, you know why the First Lady is not thrilled exactly. She said will the pile drivers ever stop? You know they go from six in the morning till 1130 in the evening. Can you imagine? Hear? You know what, to me that's a beautiful sound, she doesn't like it. I love it. You know what to me other than here because we're donating it not a penny to the taxpayer. It'll be under budget, ahead of schedule. It'll be $400 million or less. Most people say $400 million or more. No, it'll be less. But, uh, when I hear that sound, that beautiful sound behind me, it means money so I like it, but my wife isn't thrilled. She said this is getting crazy. I said, don't worry about it. We'll be all finished up in a few months.

But now for the reason that we're gathered this morning to recognize the unsurpassed courage of three really incredible American heroes, one living and two no longer with us."

Did Trump actually say that?

Allegedly yes.

People have been sectioned for less.
