I remember that blasting in 'The Eg' back in the day.

Bitter Sweet Symphony - the Verve (despite the lawsuits, great song)

Substandard

There always seemed to be an Oasis anthem each year for Rag Week. (Can't even remember the years in this title, so forgive me for taking liberties!!)
There seemed to be such a sense of 'newness' between genres, bands and artists.  Suede, Placebo, Massive Attack vs Blur or Oasis (Wha'???!!!), vs Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead vs  REM, U2 still doing their thing, DJs and dance/ trance, and loads of other satellite bands/ artists going in whichever direction from those.
The Trainspotting soundtrack, and Tarantino soundtracks.
So much happening,  so many great memories.

Good shout Seafoid! Some crackers there. Still have El Niño on vinyl. Belter of a tune with some breakdown.

I wonder how many of us crossed paths in Belfast around 1995?!

This got a lot of play in our halls in 1995 (I think!)

Blowitupref

Wasn't a lot of Ocean Colour scene hits around this time?
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Yes 1996ish was prime TFI Friday territory so The Riverboat Song etc. would have been on all the time.

Café del Mar 1999
It must have been in response to Galway winning the Ireland the year before

Dunno how, but I missed YEKE YEkE until the Beach movie came out in 2000. The 2000 radio edit was much better than the original, shorter & tighter.
