Quote from: seafoid on May 15, 2026, 06:16:53 PMStarmer was elected to boost the economy and stop the political chaos that defined the Tories pre 2024.
And he did nothing for the economy plus this week was total chaos.
So he is on a very shaky scraw.

As I wrote previously, lost among the Zionists chit chat- There were quite a few very positive economic factors in recent months (UK)- all likely to be derailed by the Iran war unfortunately.

Starmer is goosed tho, even if he wins a leadership election. Iran situation going to hamstring him as well.

He'll be delighted to see that circulating as his biggest problem is that he is very much viewed as a Blairite / right of the party.

Tweet reply nails it:
"He is such an opportunist piece of shit, devoid of any conviction."

Quote from: bennydorano on May 14, 2026, 09:48:44 PMIf Starmer is deposed that will be the 6th or 7th PM in 10 years, a Banana Republic would be embarrassed with that stat. How can any long term forward planning be done? The UK is in a doom cycle. If and when Reform get their day, they will be much worse. It'll probably take until then for the masses to really understand how much of a colossal failure Brexit has been.
The economy is banjaxed. 0.8% growth this year. Some official called 0.6% growth in the first quarter"robust"
That is pretty decent growth for the UK, and its genuine growth. There were quite a few very positive economic factors in recent months- all likely to be derailed by the Iran war unfortunately.

Quote from: OakLeaf on May 14, 2026, 05:44:22 PMJosh Simons has stood down so that Burnham can contest the bye election. Interesting times.
Indeed. Labour have been so disappointing. Burnham would be decent as PM. He'll defeat Streeting quite easily I'd imagine - if it all comes to pass.

Quote from: playwiththewind1st on May 14, 2026, 01:22:15 PMSorry to interrupt, but as this is the UK Labour Party thread, I thought I might mention that Streeting has just gone.

Now....back to the studio, for an extended Jewish / Zionist discussion.
I wish him well. Striking before Burnham can get back in as an MP. Unfortunately for Streeting he is apparently unpopular with the voting Labour members and likely to be defeated by any Leftish Candidate. With no Burnham, likely Rayner and possibly even Miliband will go again. I'd prefer Streeting.

Jesus christ lads catch yourselves on, its a debatable point even if it did hit his hand. My first text after the match was - if Rangers got that we'd be screaming blue murder - and so we would. I was more surprised that Brother Beaton gave it and gave it so quickly. It's going to be discussed to death everywhere.

Good to see more than the half dozen regulars on the thread for a change.

He wrote it, he's entitled to make his point ffs. And it most definitely is 'an act of pointed gleeful counter-programming'. It wasn't really the point I was making or interested in tho.

Think he has a point on this one tbh, but I'm much more interested to know why Linehan's very much pro-Israel and frequently getting involved in rows. I know he's entitled to his opinions, I had been assuming there was Jewish heritage with him and/or the ex-wife, but no.

Anyone know of a good Sports bar in Westport? Away this weekend, a lot of Sport on Sat & Sun. Not looking a creamy pints of stout bar, somewhere guaranteed to be showing all the games!

Well done Roscommon, that's the sort of win that makes a team as it looked like the same old story when Galway reeled them in and powered on. Takes balls to do that.

Great game, Hurson is the best ref on the circuit and doing well, imagine a balloon like Cassidy reffing that today, be ruined.

Legends on Netflix, about UK Customs tackling Heroin in 90s, is pretty good - a few episodes in, very entertaining not in the great category.

Watching 30 Rock again as well, holds up well.
