Patrick McBride has decided to step away from the Antrim senior football panel after just two rounds of the new Football League campaign.

An ever present since making his inter-county debut in 2012, McBride was a second-half substitute in Antrim's Division Four league defeat to Tipperary on Sunday.

One of the Saffrons' most high profile and experienced players, the 32-year-old St John's clubman had committed to the senior football panel for a 15th consecutive year and has yet to publicly comment on his decision to quit the county squad.
