I'm not sure your take on this is accurate. First, added time is always announced as a minimum. During a game the ref might have 4mims 45secs of added time - that's counted as minimum of 4mims officially announced. There was also 2 stoppages and a substitution in there. And the free was awarded in 5th minute also. So it's harsh to blame the referee for time control if you aren't wearing his watch. Equally as Clonian said, the same gripe could have been said in first game, but no one used that excuse.

Applaud for what was an enthralling double game instead of whining.

There's no controversy. It's silly people drawing fake lines and then sending that on social media to gullible people who believe it. The line isn't smooth for a start and anyone who knows that pitch will understand - it's impeccable.

We should just appreciate both games for what they were, both teams left it all there, nothing more to give. Scullion is a class act altogether. Best player on the pitch by a long way.

Saval will be favourites no doubt, but these two games will give Clone a real belief now.

Quote from: lumpitin on September 18, 2025, 01:45:01 PMIve watched a lot of Down football this year, it is extremely poor. Tyrone & Armagh a million miles ahead and thats showing in the county scene. Will anyone else win it other than Kilcoo? I cant see it. Burren have murdock but do they have the balls for beating kilcoo im not sure as shown year after year. I think if there is a team that beat them is carryduff.

The 4 quarter finals will be easy wins for all the favs

Tyrone is at a different level I agree. But the limited Armagh games I watched I don't think that's too far in front. In fact, when these teams move to Ulster you soon see.

And I'm not sure all the quarters have a distinct favourite. And some certainly won't be comfortable

Quote from: Targetman on September 15, 2025, 11:12:56 PMLooked like they had a legitimate claim for a penalty that wasn't given

Unless you were at the game the TV footage wasn't clear enough to help but both commentators said they didn't feel it was a penalty? Of course all of Drumgath did and none of Ballyholland agreed, that's the parochial nature of football.

Aside of that, Drumgath were excellent I thought, their pace of play and directness was brilliant. If they had of scored a couple of them bad wides at crucial points they could have put BH to bed earlier. And they had the chance to go 6 up in first half but ended up missing and going in 1 down. A great effort in Senior Championship for them and they'll be rightly proud of that today I'd guess.

I didn't peg Mayobridge as disliked. But RGU finished the season really well too, everyone back pushing the same direction.

Saul should really be closing that game out, they will be disappointed today.

Longstone I didn't see happening either, but again a strong end to their league may have helped.

More shocks to come Id say!

That was a monumental performance from Kilcoo. Seen them a lot already this year but I think that's the most ruthless and clinical I've seen. Maybe the opposition helped a little as they aren't the same quality as in previous years. Watching the other contenders and Kilcoo must be favourites for the AI?

It's great news and fair play to everyone who helped get it to this stage. I'm sure it's been a long road and started a long time ago. Maybe not the best ideal position but surely the positives are to be taken.

Maybe I don't have the right info, but a player coming to the twilight, played for his native county mainly as a sub - And we think he's going to be our full back? He didn't stand out in the semi final against a pacy CNB attack. We've struggled for a FB for a good few years now, maybe since Dan?

Tap and Go is only going to be effective if the play continues to move forward. My guess is the foul will slow it down and the tap and go will end up going to where the free would have anyway. If the 3 players in attack was in force, it might be worth the change.

Look at how the national set up goes for games. The best are normally there or thereabouts come the finals. Each of them has at least two AI finals in the past decade. And I'm guessing countless sidelines on the big days.

Must have been some drink taken alright. Relying on favours from the ref doesn't exactly show confidence in the team to do it on merit either.

Or Liatroim beating RGU. Or Bredagh over Loughinisland. Considering the league forms etc.
