The only double header I'd like to see is a minor final before a senior final. Anything else is too dragged out.

A long time voyeur of this forum, but the excitement of finals weekend has gotten too much  ;D

The minor final tomorrow should be a quality contest - football at minor level is the most entertaining in my eyes. Too close to call a winner for me.

JFC, I expect Comgalls to win comfortably enough - nobody has really bothered them to date.

IFC, On paper you'd imagine Ballymena to win handily also but St Theresas will be confident they can make Ballymena wobble as they have in the past.

SFC, Cargin got past St Brides with a bit in the tank and at this stage are well used to this day in the calendar. Casements however will be riding the crest of a wave having blown away a poor Hannahstown team and reached the promised land. Monkey off the back. Will be a tight final but I expect Cargin to close it out by a couple or 3. A lot depends on how Casements handle it mentally, they have shown in the past they have certain frailties in that area. Exciting times ahead anyway. Good luck to all sides!

Who would be the most long established club never to win a senior football championship?

In Belfast your maybe talking about Davitts, not sure how long they are running and they may well have a senior championship in their history but they'd be an older club who I never remember seeing or hearing of winning one.
Many Belfast clubs have at least one, sarsfields, st Teresas two long established clubs who have at least one if not two or three in the trophy cabinet although a long time ago.

Not sure on southwest but my guess is glenavy, con Magee's, aghagallon & moneyglass may all be missing that honour

St Theresas have only 1 to their name and also lost a few finals to a great St Johns side in the 80s iirc.

St Teresa's are a relatively young club. Only founded in the 1960s. Many founded after that? Can only think of St Brigids.
Oh aye, Laochra Loch Lao & Gort.

Glenravel won one in 1966. I was at a table at the centenary dinner and it was told they won Minor in 1964 and Senior in 1966.

Davitts have one, Agnes probably oldest in City (or some version of Mitchell's) without.

Ahoghill I don't think have one and they are approaching a centenary I think.

Mitchell's have won a championship.

I'd go for St Malachy's for the city and Aghagallon for the whole county.

Old club names are interesting alright.

Who was the James Stephen's club - Belfast based?
