Louther

Louth have struggled for years at development squad level and into minor age groups.
A lot of counties persist with these players but Louth have looked at others making waves or late bloomers in club football and it's helped. Devlin has helped but early days for him. Getting coaches and clubs to step up is key and this will feed into teams at all levels.

Massive win last night and great to see consistency from year on year, county like Louth needs that, no good one age group making a final and then not been seen competing again for years. It's a numbers age to get players though.

Unreal. Well done..They play Mayo now?

Laois Rising

I think Louth are a perfect example of what can be achieved when you get enough good people interested and invested in improving standards within a county.

A special committee – comprising, among others, ex-Louth boss Wayne Kierans, Paul Gallagher, Ciarán Sloan and Peter Dooley plotted and created over the last couple of years a pathway for the county at development squad level- identifying a preferred style of play and looking at ways to expand a high performance culture. Devlin was then added to the ticket last year and has been central to its implementation and helping move Louth underage football in the right direction. Laois and other Leinster counties do well to learn from this. Laois underage football has regressed badly the last few years. If you standstill you will fall behind as the likes of Kildare, Meath, Dublin and Louth continue to improve their underage structures year on year.

Delighted for Louth, hopefully they can go on now and win the senior.

I was more confident of the U20's winning than i am for the seniors. Minors were disappointing this year all along but hopefully a bit stronger next year.

Well done to Louth and Offaly.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Well done to Louth and Offaly.

Were there many lads a around from the all Ireland u17 winners juice? They were a great team that pipped us in great final in 2021.
