Have been saying for years that while Pogba is about, United aren't going to climb out of this malaise. If the most highly paid, most influential players at a club are inconsistent in terms of application and performance, it becomes normalised. They set the tone.

Trippier is no upgrade on Wan Bissaka. He's a very different player, but with a different set of problems. He was moved on by Spurs because he wasn't strong enough defensively, or quick enough, to play against top 6 EPL teams. Bissaka is the inverse.

This has been going on since 2013.
Fergie kept things hidden while he was still winning.

There was an emergency meeting between the 2 Glazers, Woodward and Solskjaer. Only one of them knows anything about soccer.
Half Manchester United's problem is that Fergie won't keep himself hidden now.

He's responsible for Solskjaer being landed with the giant white elephant that is Ronaldo.

Manchester United need to back Solskjaer more.

312m is 3*Pogba or 1.5*Neymar
It won't buy a team.
It's about half of Man Utd annual profits.

Before Ferguson, Man Utd had won 7 titles.

For most of the time Ferguson was in charge the interests of the fans and the owners were aligned.
This is no longer the case.

Man Utd is in the same boat now as Tottenham and Arsenal. Joe Lewis and Stan Kroenke don't care about winning trophies either.

Pogba has to go after some of the things coming out in the last few days, never mind the shit he has caused in the past. Any new manager has to say enough of that shit show and show him the door. Lingard and Martial out the door with him. If the younger players think they can behave like that and get away with it the problem is going to keep rolling on.

They're now back to where they were with Jose. Ole is basically on notice until they find a manager that will not give them the shit back that Conte would. The whole coaching staff should have replaced by Tuesday morning if it's as bad as the reports are saying.

Just a small point bigarse....Lingard is 29 in December, Pogba is 29 next March and Martial is doing 27....these aren't young players, these are players who should be at the peak of their games. Ole cannot manage them,  and I suspect no other managers could, except perhaps Zidane

I meant the younger players, like Greenwood, thinking they can behave like that and still get a bumper contract.

Pogba now calling all the reports fake news and they're using his names for headlines.

David Moyes was well able to manage Lingard. Gareth Southgate is able to manage him.

Didier Deschamps is able to manage Pogba. Conte and Allegri were well able to manage him.

Louis van Gaal was able to manage Martial.

All these players are manageable.

They wouldn't be high level professional footballers if they weren't manageable.

I don't see anything that indicates Zidane could manage these players and others couldn't.

I think yis are still barking up the wrong tree. An elite manager could manage them all, well bar Pogba maybe.......

I agree - from top to bottom United have people learning on the job. Ole hasn't been in the game at this level long enough, Carrick and McKenna haven't proved anything and got jumped up with Jose when he lost his assistant. Darren Fletcher is learning on the job too. I wasn't really on for Conte but I think this teams needs a character like that now but if he says 'outtafaq' the club have to back him up and move those players on.
