Ballinderry have been reinstated to both the league and the championship.

James Conway who originally got an 8 week suspension which was quashed on appeal has now been hit with a 48 week suspension.

Why did he get 48 weeks?

Did someone own up to striking Kielt?

Don't know. This sounds like the deal. He perhaps admitted it so that Ballinderry could get back in.

The county board were shrewd here, they imposed a ban on the club and by diong so put pressure on the man that did the durt, forcing his hand (excuse the pun) into owning up and he promptly recieved a lengthy ban, they then reinstated the club into the championship and so justice seems to have run it's course, except for the poor fecker who has a fractured jaw.

He broke a mans jaw, fractured it at least, he cowered behind his team mates and it took the club getting kicked out of the championship before he found the stones to confess, he deserves what he got.

If we had a culture in the GAA of owning up and accepting the consequences we wouldn't see half the pulling that goes on.
