Hi All,
Has anyone been down the disciplinary route in relation to a the offence of 'To contribute to a melee'.
I can't find any information on it in the official guide.
Does anyone have a definition of what this actually means and more importantly what is not contributing to a Malee.
There is no definition of a melee.
A few attempts in recent years to get it defined in Convention have been voted down.

Correct on 2 counts
Even with video evidence it's highly unlikely to win the appeal as its a nebulous flawed infraction

It's basically some twat who runs 50 yards to get involved with something that is no concern of his, red card, usually a one match ban, move on and learn from it
so if its defined in gaa laws you have to take the 'normal' meaning of the word .it does not mean you can get away with it .unless your from frank murphy ERA Cork where a ban for attempting to strike was over ruled because they proved contact was made.
