Quote from: ElJeffe on Today at 02:53:48 PMWill they Rafferty on the team bus or make him walk home? At least he can throw his bowls down the road
Forker needs to have a hard look at himself

Didnt get to watch the match. What did he do?
Armagh 2 points up game was done
Holding the ball just over a minute left
Ball was recycled back to him
He had 2 loose players to keep recycling and push clock down
He shot  from a poor position under pressure was blocked and didn't have pace to get after his man
Armagh didn't get ball back

Armagh did get the ball back.

Aidan Forker has kicked points from positions like that so many times before when it mattered most.

It didnt work out for him today.

He will know that himself without keyboard warriors getting on his back.

As McGeeney said 'we win together and we lose together'.

Roll on next week
Good post. As bad as we're all feeling the players are obviously feeling worse. Haven't felt this gutted since probably Monaghan 2023.

A real sickener but we've come back from worse, fully expect a big response next weekend.

On paper bar Galway the teams through are all big enough surprises and very beatable for whoever gets through.

Quote from: Armagh18 on Today at 02:49:56 PMMadness. Fair play to Louth. Rafferty was horrendous all day and Forker kicking that ball away and moving at a snails pace back was a hard watch

Fair play indeed. Game littered with mistakes. If that's the subs armagh are throwing on they don't have a great a squad as they're letting on.

Armagh had a goal chance when they had the defender surrounded on the ground in the last ten, what was the free out for?
Geezer gets alot right but today wasn't his finest hour. I thought oisin o Neill came on early, he left grugan on bench too long and Aidan didn't have his finest impact. Having a player who was in run in for poty two years ago on bench was also strange when your conceding 2-20. Tk has been a key player this year and took off 7 mins into second half.
Yeah agree with a lot of that, just on TK though apparently he was on his last warning with that p***k of a ref so thats why he came off. Ross was also cramping.

Quote from: AustinPowers on Today at 04:00:49 PMI  think we've seen  nearly all of the  problems possible with this hooter system.

Clearly it's time  it was binned.

Problem being you didn't get enough time to get an equaliser?
Is Austin not a Cavan man? Don't they'd have got an equaliser unless you played another week

Quote from: thewobbler on Today at 04:12:51 PMThere's rules and then there's commonsense.

Looking around for the rulebook when poor defending and horrendous goalkeeping (all he had to do was stick his head on it) were the prime factors, is just a little bit sour for my liking.

Forker holds on to the ball instead of having a stupid shot and we aren't having this conversation
Forker getting some abuse for Armagh fans. There was an even worse one after. Can't remember who fisted it away in mf area
McGrane I think.

Quote from: square_ball on Today at 02:42:38 PMDoes Ger Canning not know there's a 2 pointer now?

Don't say he did it again?
Last year when Dublin were 2 points down near the end he said "Only a goal can save Dublin now"
Was the same for Louth today. Unfortunately the hoors got one

For Lane being a twat as usual! Never a free. Only ourselves to blame, 2 points is a **** of a lead!

Quote from: DaleCooper on Today at 02:51:06 PMLouth there on merit. Lets not forget they have serious talent underage but armagh yet again cannot finish off opponent.

Forker makes some stupid decisions seeking personal glory. McGeeney will have some words for him
No idea why he was on. Clearly not fit to sprint.

Quote from: TyroneTam on Today at 01:38:15 PMAh FFS, that is a joke getting 2 points for that... pathetic
Why was the free moved outside the arc?
Foul happened outside and was an advantage. Should have been a penalty.

Lane is absolutely awful but we've been worse!
i didn't see the goalie strike the armagh player on the head, just 2 players going for the ball and the goalie won.
Was it not a shoulder in the back/back of head?

Anyway we knew coming in how bad Lane is, it's our performance especially kickouts and final ball thats worrying.

Quote from: nrico2006 on Today at 12:35:14 AMOnly saw the Donegal highlights, but did Cork pull the 20 metre free back outside the arc when Sherlock scored the 2 pointer free to go ahead?

Are highlights available somewhere?

Yes they are on the Rte website.

Youtube always have them up too.
Strange that RTE had all the cameras at the match, a quality recording with 'top notch' commentator Marty yet there was no live broadcast on offer. Why go to all that bother for just 5 minutes of highlights? Yet there were games on GAA+ where a few people and their pet dog were in attendance.

I assume it's for the Sunday Game. I also think it was a contractual issue rather than a resource issue.
Common sense needs to prevail here then. If the resources are there to show it then every game at this stage should be shown as the appetite is definitely there from neutrals

No Saturday game? West Brits showing the pansy ball instead??
