And in particular the last sentence. Please do no engage in needless and 'cowardly' abuse of players behind internet pseudonyms. Comment about on field behaviour can me made without needless insults to their character, and comments regarding their private life should be out of bounds altogether. Let that be the end of it please.

Teo, you're perfectly entitled to your  opinion, and to start/continue the thread related to what you perceive as financial disparities between counties. Lads can engage with you on that thread if it floats their boats. However you have to stop coming on every thread involving Dublin and raising the same stuff over and over. It prevents everyone having an enjoyable debate/discussion about the games, and that's the whole reason we're all here in the first place.

So, in simple terms, keep this to one thread about Finances in the GAA, and let the other threads concentrate on the games or whatever.

If you continue to annoy people by posting the same stuff in multiple threads, derailing discussions, then we'll have to hand out a ban, and I really don't want to do it because you're well entitled to argue your points, and you are not insulting or abusive. So please, keep it in one thread, and let other posters engage with you there if they feel like it.

The notion that CP is some kind of Mecca or Taj Mahal is way off the mark also. It's already a crumbling pigeon sanctuary, that was never completed and is poorly serviced by public transport. In a part of a city very difficult to reach.

   This is a very broad topic, and can be the most subjective in the way the moderators view things. In general, it would be the 'good manners' rule. Specific examples of
    inappropriate posts would be the following. (This list is by no means conclusive)
      - Abusive posts between fans of soccer teams, clearly not part of good humoured banter. Mentions of Hillsborough, Munich, Heysel or alluding to these incidents in a
        way designed to incite other posters to break forum rules.
      - Sectarian posts, or posts advocating violence against any community or person. Some of the topics under discussion from the different cultures on this island have
        come close to this. That will not be allowed or accomodated.
      - Racist posts, including posts propogating racist views about any race or community.
      - inappropriate posts such as the Maddie McCann jokes etc.

Lads, this debate has been very well behaved in general, on an emotive topic. Tony Fearons post above goes beyond the realm of acceptable debate.

This is not Tony's first foray over the line, and I would be justified in handing out a ban. That post is at best in extremely poor taste, and at worst homophobic. I think maybe we've been a little lax in handing out bans recently so I won't do it now. I will delete the posts and Tony, one more even questionable post on this topic, you will be banned.

I'm aware that the Diarmuid Connolly incident is public, and therefore debate has to be expected, however I am very uncomfortable with the tone of some of the comments, and also the comments regarding other people involved or not involved in this incident. Please have a bit of respect for people, and discuss our players as players. Best not to discuss other people at all.

I'm also aware the first post is tongue in cheek, but it has led where I feared it would, so I'm also removing that.

So another soccer thread hits the toilet. Some of ye would want to cop on.

Personal Abuse is against the rules of this board, and calling someone a sc**bag falls fairly clearly under that description. If it happens again, bans will be handed out. Cop on, all of ye.

By the way, I know Tony Fearon specialises in 'clever' wind ups, but responding to him with abuse is against the rules. It's well recorded that moderators have had issues with Tony's posts in the past, but if you have an issue with them, report them. Do not respond with abuse, or you will also end up with a ban.

These soccer threads are not worth the hassle.

OK lads (glens and ghd) this is gone far enough now, and is getting a bit juvenile to be honest. Can ye please cease and desist from deliberately antagonising the other for a while? It's gone beyond a debate now, and is getting more personal.

This thread is now locked as well. Tony, your constant attempts to wind people up with sensitive subjects are becoming very tiresome. At some stage one would have to question is the hassle worth it.
