I agree Devlin has done an unreal job, however, I still think it's fair enough to question the rationale to not mix up the kick outs when it was abundantly clear we were being utterly wiped out from the 25th min onwards.

Dubs the much better team so far, their fans have fairly deserted the team tho, have never seen such a small crowd for a Dublin championship home match.

White Goodman wanna take a look at yourself with the personal attacks, uncalled for. We can all have our opinions that may be right or wrong but getting personal is a low blow. Clear off with that shite.

Quote from: TyroneTam on May 30, 2026, 11:06:02 PMI am no gaa manager but how could the lads not see the absolute massacre on the long kick outs and not try to at least mix it up a bit? The abundantly clear reason that game was lost was kick outs and not maintaining possession off our own restarts.

Fantastic year getting to an unexpected final but still a shame to have left that behind.

Staggering stat on teamtalkmag, we won of our own kickouts
We had 26 kickouts

But... What's your plan B then? Kirby & Co are cleaning up at midfield... Do tell. Kerry went man to man they were bigger and better. And they won. How do you stop that?

We lost 19 out of our own 26 kick outs, that's a crazy stat...I'm not saying there is an easy fix but by god it wouldn't have taken a rocket scientist to have had a few routines worked out to get away shorter kick outs. I caught a few highlights of their Munster final and Roscommon game and it was clear their mf was their strongest sector and ours hasn't been cleaning out other teams.

Now the short ones may not have always worked but at least it would have kept them guessing. Long kick after long kick handed the game on a plate. Was like an u14 match at some stages with not being able to retain any possession from the 20th min onwards.

Derry so so poor going forward, totally clueless

This 10 mins with the extra man will tell the tale...harsh enough black from a neutral point of view

Haha wtf was that?!!

That breakaway sums Derry up...so indecisive

Huge effort here from Cavan, 6 points up with 10 mins to go...Westmeath hangover from Leinster final coming to the fore. Big 2nd half coming up for Cavan.

It's utterly baffling how there wasn't any form of alternative to lumping the ball out to MF, you'd have to look towards management for not getting a message on to the field to try something different.

Fair play to all involved for getting to Croke park as this wasn't a fancied group, lots of senior potential in both teams.

Well done Kerry and congratulations

Kerry much better in second half but how is there no other plan than lump it out to MF when we're getting cleaned out. Literally no plan B at all. Losing of the game.

Another ridiculous set of decisions there, obviously free not given for Tyrone and the softest free given straight away to Kerry
