Technically, teachers in Catholic schools in the north are employed by an organisation called CCMS (The Council for Catholic Maintained Schools).

Eng threw away an Ashes Test win in Australia by being completely brain dead. Stokes bowled really well in the 1st innings but he only bowled 2 overs in the 2nd, one of which went for 17. He lost the plot when Head Bazballed Eng. I think he's fooked fitness wise.

Quote from: seafoid on November 20, 2025, 01:15:47 PMThe best possible draw. It was important to avoid Italy. Poor OWC.
Evan Ferguson will be back. Imagine him and Parrott together.

Ferguson is vastly overrated and injury prone.

Don't want Wales now!

Wales might be a team more suited to Ireland.

Quote from: tonto1888 on November 19, 2025, 01:41:35 PMdo you not need some level of irish to teach in the south?

At primary level, yes.  If you were educated outside the 26 counties you can get up to 5 years to bring yourself up to the required level.

At secondary level, generally no.  Unless of course you are employed to teach Irish, teach in a Gaelscoil, or a school in a Gaeltacht area where Irish is the first language.  So if you teach Physics in a secondary school outside the Gaeltacht, there's no requirement to have any proficiency in Irish.

Amazing end to the game and we've given ourselves a fantastic chance to qualify, something that looked near impossible a couple of months ago.  Ireland were shite in the first half and I think Houghton was right when he said that Kelleher has been Ire's best player over the group.  Fair play to Azaz who was awful in the 1st 65 mins but benefited from being moved when the subs came on.  He did well in the last 20 mins.  Now that the euphoria is starting to die down, how poor were Idah and Ebosele?  Kenny looks a better option than Idah.  We're still lacking a really creative midfielder.  Being lost in the buzz is Parrott's 2nd goal which was a cracking finish.  The winner was a real striker's goal, it seemed to come off his studs but that was just enough.

@David McKeown
If she's not fit to enter a plea, never mind stand trial, what happens to the charges against her??
