And ours looks like a work of art.

First we win on the pitch, and now in the style stakes.

'That new Mayo jersey is the sickest looking thing I ever saw,'

Is it really? You mustnt have seen much

giveballaghback

it looks like an all blacks jersey that someone got sick on

Down launched their new jersey yesterday with their minor team...

S&C starts next week apparently.

What ever happened to the size limitations there used to be on sponsors logos?
That's the biggest sponsor I have ever seen on a jersey

Always loved the history / story / myth behind the green over the red. Amazed How far Mayo have gone from that.

What's the story?

I think new jerseys are all about greasy fingers in tills. Pure commercialism.

AZOffaly

Offaly apparently have yet another new jersey. This must be the 5th or 6th in the last 10 years?

J70

New jersey for Donegal.

Thought the old one was one of the nicest we've had, but this is not too bad.

We've had a hoop before, albeit the Kerry style one with gold hoop on a green jersey. ALthough is that technically a hoop?

WTF is with the sponsor logo though? :o

Syferus

That logo is a brutal clash. And they stuck it on the back for good measure.

Sponsorship logos of recent times have become ludicrous, ruining decent looking jersey designs.  Westmeath, Armagh, Louth and now Donegal spring to mind.

The sponsor logos have got a lot bigger of late and now have taken to being plastered over the back too. Horrendous looking.
Why should the sponsorship logos be up to 5x the size of a crest.

Jerseys should remain stylish with discreet sposorship. Kids would want them and want to wear them regularly. You'd then maximize the exposure to sponsors while retaining a county identity, not being a corporate whore

Walter Cronc

That Donegal jersey is brutal. The last one they had was class too.

Some of those designers at O'Neills really don't have a clue. Just stick shapes anywhere.

J70 always wanted to know, were Donegal ever Green with yellow hoop or was that an away jersey in the late 80s/early 90s?

Totally agree. Some of the sponsors logos in recent times are horrendous and too prominent altogether.

Exhibit 1

Way too big and totally out of sync with the jersey.

Exhibit 2

Is there really a need for that large yellow box on a Maroon jersey? Hideous looking IMo.

The Down and Donegal jerseys pictured already above are less garish. The white logo for example isn't terrible on the Down jersey but the logo seems excessively large. The Donegal new jersey is a move away from the inobtrusive Donegal Creameries logo into a more obtrusive colour scheme. Again, mightn't be a huge deal to some people (and no doubt is the result of a decent sponsorship deal) but it's a route I don't like to see us going down. Just my own view. I can't help but picture Australian Rugby League  jerseys here..forgive me!

There's a different sponsor and logo on the back.
