See Mickey is gearing up for a low key Championship campaign.

I assume he will be blooding 7/8 newcomers this year instead of Gormley, McMenanmin, Hughes,McGuigan,Mulligan, Dooher etc seeing as he has more or less written the year off.

I don't think he or anyone else believes this for a minute. You have Cork slightly ahead of Kerry and Tyrone and it is hard to see anyone else winning it (for all Dublin's huffing & puffing, they blew it last year).

* Are Armagh the last team to win Sam from Div 2?

I dont think Dooher at 36 is hanging about as part of a development squad. I do agree that Tyrone consistently are no longer in the top 6 or 8 favourites.

Theres word that Dooher will be on the management set up next season. Being groomed to take over the reins.

No better man than Dooher when Mickey decides his work is done. I still think hes pushed himself as far as he can and even to get to his level of fitness for another year seems cruelty.

I take it you are at the mind games too rrhf because I don't know 6 or 8 teams that people have ahead of Tyrone when it comes to picking favourites.

Tyrone arent in the top tier anymore and I don't care what the bookies odds are. We are where Armagh were a few years ago, the second tier.

While I'd like to see Dooher involved on the sidelines definitely, I think Raymond Munroe has done/is doing enough to be considered for the senior role if and when Mickey decides to go.

Well who is in the top tier then? You cannot base anything on League standings to be honest. While Tyrone are not the force they were, there is not a high number of teams ahead of them.

Tyrone probably aren't as good as Kerry and definitely aren't as good as Cork.

On their day they could beat anyone else though. Dublin only beat them as they kicked themselves out of it.

If Kerry beat Cork (very possible) then there is an (outside) chance Tyrone could win the AI.

No way are there 6 or 8 teams better than Tyrone.

rrhf's mind games. That's nonsense, Tyrone are comfortably still in the top six or eight teams. I know they're in Division two but they are a much better side than Monaghan, Armagh, Mayo and Galway from Division One at least. For me they're in a group of four who can win the All-Ireland this year - Dublin, Cork, Kerry and Tyrone.

Its rather pathetic the way the Tyrone lads are fishing for compliments. Feigning pessimism then waiting for everybody to jump in and tell them how great they are and how there is life in the old dog yet or some such tripe.
