Dunno why Brolly is having a go at Cavanagh for. He should be saving his vitriol for the referee instead for bottling it and not sending Cavanagh off. It was a blatant red card, Cavanagh did what he had to do, It should have been dealt with there and then.

You are obviously from the same school of dumb as Martin Carney. You can't just make up rules and send Sean Cavanagh off. What rule would you have sent him off for?

exactly!, it wasnt a red card offence in gaelic football.

it would be a red card in soccer alrite but fortunately we arent playing soccer.

so where does this leave us in relation to next weekend?

very similar game to 1/4 final in 2011 against tyrone. dublin missed several goal chances that day too.

cork were poor though and seemed clueless.
#3247
you could drive a bus through that cork defence
#3248
stonewall penalty not given for cork there

Penrose should never get a jersey again. He kept pressing the issue, even when the ref and linesmen were there. Absolutely shocking piece of indiscipline from an experienced player >:(

was gonna say that too. he's been shite for a long time now and that stupidity at half time is the final straw for me.

gormley will get done for that punch  :(

anyway we have come back well after a sluggish start but penrose has been very very poor as has SON so there is still a lot to improve on.

Will there be league football next weekend with the Seniors and Minors both in action.
There is a round of starred games listed for next Sunday but with the minors playing Kerry in Croke Park that day I'd say it's up in the air.

our game fixed against rock for next weekend now has a date of 30/11/2013 on the fixtures site.
the way things are going, thats likely enough.

I see young Conor Quinn took a very brave/ foolish step and pulled out of the minor panel. Don't whether to say fair play to him or not, but I am sure he didn't take the decision lightly.

think he made the correct decision norf.
the minor management have really messed the stewartstown lads about this year.
if the same players were from aghaloo/eglish they'd be getting game time.

GAA Discussion / Re: Meath v Tyrone 1996

found an avi file of the 2007 game on my hard disk. had a quick look and noticed a few things:

it would have been gerard cavlan's last game for tyrone as the 'canonball' controversy was shortly after this.

meath didnt score again from about 54th minute and tyrone still couldnt win.

GG kicked sean cavanagh on head with about 8 minutes to go and only got a yellow card.

oh and whatever happened to shane o' rourke?
