Greatest Invention Ever. Before its invention I couldnt cook very well and had lots of washing up. Now, I can cook.....anything and only have to wash 1 cooking utensil. Genius.

Just finished, Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee, the storey of the demise of Native Americans in the face of the European invasion. Its a harrowing storey told from the Native Americans point of view which can make it biased at times as it doesnt really account for the atrocities that they themselves commited against the Europeans but it definatley accounts for the hardship and abuse they got. Hard to read at times as some of the cruelty would sicken you, but its informative and shows that what it really boiled down to, to quote from "Cool Hand Luke", failure to communicate.

At the moment reading Moby Dick, its a great book, only at the beginning, still yet to meet Ahab.

They're like mascots. one in every club. Yep, our club has our very own buck eejit as well. Argues everything, calls officials every name under the sun even if the ref is having a good game. the only ones he'll praise are the ones related to him, unless they have a real brutal game and dis-owns them completely.

comes out with genius quotes every game;

"they're building from the back"
"you should have a (insert colour) jersey on ya ref!"

Offaly just cant score from play. Kilkenny seem to have players who can score in almost every position. Its not from lack of effort from Offaly they just dont have the players to score except in the forward line who have hardly got a sniff of the sliotar.

As for the Cats, well they're just awesome.

Mullins is a class keeper, he made a point blank save that has kept this game competitive. Offaly need to come out firing on all cylinders cause everyone knows what the cats are like. Cody will tear the arse of them in the dressing room.

Limerick hade to work like horses to get their scores. The Gaelic Grounds was fairly full, not sure what the attendence was but a sizable crowd. Hope they keep the fight will still be in them for the replay. Hope Offaly can bring the same to the Cats.

Class game, feel for Limerick. I wish they'd won it, deserved it. Could have won only for a selfish decision by the Limerick forward (Ryan i think) at the end who was pulled for over carrying.

Great game of hurling, action packed, a Trojan perfomnace by nearly all men 1-15 on both teams, even if the skill level wasnt always of the  highest quality.

Thats a good point, if people want consistancy well, until theres a certain amount of TV cameras at every game there will never be any consistancy to the use of video citing.

Racism is something that always makes my blood boil and as far as Im concerned, anyone who is a racist lowers themselves to the scum of the earth in my eyes.If someone is unintentionally racist, which might be from ignorance or just miscommunication thats fine, i am willing to forgive, but deliberate and deep running hatred of another culture or race for what it is just pisses me off. It makes me deeply ashamed to be Irish when I hear of irish people being discriminatory towards immigrants no matter where they are from, or what they did. It is a shame on all of us when it happens and it deeply hurts my feelings. I for along time believed we were a caring, charitable country who saw the bigger picture, but in recent times it seems we can be as greedy, ignorant and bigoted as the next.

The use of the N word, I dont use it, dot like it, and if hip hop stars want to use it, well yes you would think as role models for the african american community they would perhaps be better off not bringing it into mainstream media, therefore making it acceptable amoung african americans, which means that in turn they set themselves apart. While I am no expert on such matters I am of the belief that one of the main problems with realtions between caucasian americans and african americans is that both set themselves apart socially. Certain things are "black" and certain things are "white" ie clothes, language and attitiudes towards certain cornerstones of society.

There is nothing wrong with having culture and representing said cultures, "which is great, and very important" there is a similar requirement as human beings to the same things, financial security, home and shelther, family, love, respect, friendship and health. These things to name a few, know no racial or cultural boundary, these are universal and on this basis all people should get equal treatment.

I hope that Ireland doesnt fall into the same sad and sorry racial pitfall that happened to other countries. I realise some people like to blame immigrants for their unemployment, but these people need to realise that everyone is trying to fullfil the same few things as mentioned above and we are all climbing the same mountain so to speak. The ones to blame may be the policy makers, but at the end of the day the responcibility lies with "you". Thats how society works in western europe. "You" get "yourself" employed, by "you" learning the skills, by "you" getting the education and "you" willing to do the hard work. Its cold and cruel and not everyone fits in to that role for a wide variety of reasons, but that is the cold truth as far as I see it.

C'Mon The Royals

lets hope its a hard fought, fair game with two committed teams and in the end this is what its all about

I'm sorry, but I just have to say as a neutral that I thought Cosgrove's reaction after Geraghty patted him on his chin was disgraceful. Holding your face as if you have been thumped by Bernard Dunne, is the same as the diving that goes on in the premiership.

Yeah that really grinds my gears. He went down like a sack of spuds, you cant knock a man down with a open handed slap, unless it was Mike Tyson in his prime, but it wasnt it was Graham Gerathy. Yes his punch on David Henry was terrible and if Graham gets suspended for it well theres no point in defending him. But diving and feigning injury is pathetic and cowardly and I would sooner stop watching a game plagued with diving than I would one with violence.

Oh God my hands are shaking, Awesome game. Could have gone either way, that was immense.

You reckon Graham is gone?, threw a few digs at David Henry. Hard to say who'll win the replay. When is it.
