Not to get involved in the annual Clonoe/Coalisland slag off but just saw Cormac O'Hagan's interview after the game. Thought it very strange - I think he said that last 20 years Coalisland and Carrickmore have been the Championship teams.  ???

In the last 20 years Errigal have 4, Dromore have 3 along with Carrickmore and Coalisland come in with a host of clubs on 2 (Had they not of transferred in the big Killyman man in 2010 I don't think they even would have won it! I can see that one pinned on the Dromore dressing room!

Yeah i think Cormac is waffling a bit there.. Omagh, Trillick have 2 championships, omagh mightve been in 4 finals in that period.. Killyclogher have been in maybe 4 as well..

From a quick review of the last 20 years (01-20) a quick tally shows:
Errrigal & Carrickmore: 8 appearances each, both with 3 wins and a draw.
Dromore: 6 (3w)
Killyclogher 6 (2w 1d)
Coalisland: 5 (2w 1d)
Dromore and Coalisland will add at least 1 more appearance each whilst Errigal and Carrickmore will drop by 1 this year.
That will leave 3 clubs on 7 appearances each. Dromore on at least 3 wins, Errigal on 3 wins, Carrickmore on 2

Errigal will add to their tally next year. Strong favourites.. again

Another weekend of entertaining club championship. Interesting from Carrickmore to start OAP Barry Daly, he's that old I bet he doesn't even buy the green bananas anymore.
In fairness to barry he won a good few ball in the first half before coming off injured it seemed. Very sickening feeling knowing that Coalisland was there for the taking, referee wasn't the losing of the game but it was evident that a 4 point lead wasn't enough of a lead playing against that breeze. Coalisland were able to knock off frees from 40,50 yards in the second half and that was the winning of the game. Live and learn - no doubt there is a Championship in our group of players but its like anything it will take time for younger boys to find their feet

2/5 Trillick 15/2 Killyclogher 5/2

2/9 Errigal 10/1 Loughmacrory 4/1

1/5 Dromore 11/1 Eglish 4/1

4/5 Carrickmore 6/1 Coalisland 11/8

serious odds for coalisland. can't get the hype around carmen beating them. not a chance

A wise man once said - Put your money where your mouth is. I think we will have a bit too much for this Coalisland team. They are certainly a team capable of turning it on though so won't be an easy affair by any stretch.

2/5 Trillick 15/2 Killyclogher 5/2 - Trillick AET

2/9 Errigal 10/1 Loughmacrory 4/1

1/5 Dromore 11/1 Eglish 4/1

4/5 Carrickmore 6/1 Coalisland 11/8

Unbelievable spectacle last night and fair play to both sides with extreme fitness levels show.  I would imagine RTE may be sniffing around after hearing about last night and wouldnt be surprised if one of our quarters is televised.
KC Trillick the friday night under lights in Healy
Errigal Lough is in Carrickmore on the saturday
Haven't heard about ourselves and the other game. Potential double header in Pomeroy

Washingbay Shamrocks had a fine team in '34.. Wonder would they get the band back together and give it a lash next year. Hard to look past if so

Anyone have a prediction for O'Neill cup winner 2021? tough one to call

It's going to be another brilliant championship, so little between so many of the teams

I think its between Trillick, Coalisland and Errigal

A hesitant vote for Errigal for me.
Killyclogher and Dungannon could have a say. Personally see the semi finals as Trillick Dungannon and Errigal Coalisland. Tough to call at that point. I'll go for Trillick beating Coalisland again in the final.

Don't see Killyclogher making moves like that, very average squad when you take out their county men

Impressive year from the Lough by all accounts. Certainly will be full of confidence going into a 1st Rd against D'laughan or Moy. I didn't get down to our own game vs Ardboe but from reports I believe we were 6/7 points down and could of snatched a win at the death with M donnelly just putting the ball an inch over the bar from a palm.
Errigal also ticking along nicely after a slow start but that would of been expected getting the likes of canavan and harte back in the fold. Cavanvan ''Jnr Jnr'' also has been making appearances so thats another to keep an eye on unfortunately.  Big week or 2 for all clubs

Has Darragh Canavan played Sen Champ for Errigal yet? I know he's had bad luck with injuries the last few years and missed chunks.

What's Jr Jr like? Heard he's equally as promising as Darragh, would he be in line for a start for Errigal in champ too or a bit young yet?
Championship Errigal will line up with the 2 Canavans and Odhran Robinson inside. Serious firepower. They will take some stopping.
Agreed but the same thing is said every year. When it comes to it they cant seem to get over the line

Darragh scored a goal against us in Dungannon in the Semi final in 2019 I think it was so he's featured in the Senior C'ship before. Haven't seen much of the younger boy but I think he also comes with bags of potential.

May already have been asked but what is the ruling in this years Championship regarding Extra Time and Penalties with the anticipation of many games going to the wire?

Round 9

Killyclogher v Trillick

Donaghmore v Pomeroy

Errigal Ciaran v Coalisland

Derrylaughan v Dromore

Ardboe v Clonoe

Edendork v Loughmacrory

Omagh v Moy

Dungannon v Carrickmore

Eglish v Galbally

Last chance for a few teams to pick up points before the County cavalry arrive back. Few teams in a good position to avoid the drop already and a few teams going to be left with a lot of work to do on final stretch of fixtures. I think the 4 teams currently in the drop zone may be the ones to go.  (Fianna to pull off the great escape)  8)

Trailer and Tyrone GAA clearly very knowledgeable men when it comes to football.....probably explains why all Trailer does is give out about Mickey Harte.

It was a night for the bookies tonight. Who here would have predicted this weekend a win for Moy? A win for Eglish, a win for Pomeroy even a win for Errigal. All this and Dromore being held to a draw at home.

Maybe you're the expert Tyrone11234 that seen those results coming.  :-X

Disappointing for us but a good solid win for the Moy, must say they are a well coached team with Cavanagh doing all the talking on and off the field.  Could argue we were missing 6 starters from the previous rounds but still would of fancied taking 2 points without the Tyrone u20 representatives and the few injuries.  Moy will be playing d1 football for a few years to come yet and who knows we could meet again in Club cship.  Not the only shock result of the weekend it seems - going to the tight at the top and bottom all year

I heard that Cship draw won't be made until Tyrone exit the Cship

Round 6 -

Coalisland v Trillick

Killyclogher v Pomeroy

Errigal Ciaran v Donaghmore

Dromore v Loughmacrory

Derrylaughan v Clonoe

Edendork v Ardboe

Omagh v Eglish

Carrickmore v Moy

Dungannon v Galbally

Things really starting to heat up now with teams under pressure to get points on the board ASAP.. Not looking good for Eglish, Edendork and Galbally. Damage could be done by the time they get County men back
Fianna in dangerous waters too.. Would want to be picking up points very soon (as they would consider themselves strong without their county men) Unless they sack McGuckin and bring back the chosen one (The Reliable O'Hagan)

Very true but I still think they will have enough and are still big players in the championship. Remember a few years back they lost 4 or 5 on the bounce and brought back O Hagan kickstarting their season with a win against Carmen. I think they'll be fine come Sept
