Quote from: JPGJOHNNYG on February 06, 2026, 09:55:28 AMWas just trying to find something on netflix and came across anatomy of a scandal.

It's about a government minister who has an affair with his aide, then dumps her, she then accuses him of rape. The first few episodes were great and the whole did he or didn't he and the court case was really interesting.

How it should have ended. They should have kept the mystery of his guilt to the end, he gets off and then either with a flashback or a new assault or something we realise he is actually guilty, a serial rapist with no remorse

Instead we get a f**king absolute mess, the prosecuting barrister was raped by him and is out for revenge. The barrister is also the guys  wife's uni flat mate yet no-one recognises her wtf. Has she had face off cage/travolta style surgery, she has decided to risk her career instead of just telling someone what happened and have another barrister take the case. He gets off but then his wife who feels bad realising he is guilty tells the media about some unfortunate drug incident from 20 yrs ago involving him and the now prime minister. The government collapses and the guy is arrested all on his wife's word with no shred of any evidence which is a massive stretch especially for a courtroom based drama. Really disappointing end considering the strong start.

Sorry about the spoilers but I'm saving you all 6 hrs of your life.

Is that the Sienna miller one? Gav up on it a couple of years ago inside the first episode. Really bizarre cinematography in it if I recall correctly.

That's the one yes there are some lol visual effects but I thought the first few episodes were good enough unfortunately it soon descended into a farce

Irish rugby not looking great to be honest although look at Wales to see how it can get even worse. A big problem is the team is so heavily reliant on Leinster and it's quite clear that the team under Cullen and his crew have massively underperformed, what little talent that is coming through rarely gets a chance hence not much development. The irfu should be moving the younger lads around to other provinces to get actual game time and experience.

Quote from: thewobbler on February 05, 2026, 09:17:46 PMI get that Ireland would struggle to match Ireland in a head on battle. But Gibson Park seems to have spent the winter watching videos of Conor Murray and decided to be him. It's horrible.

They have won none of those garyowens yet continue to do it. If that's directions from the coach then his stock is collapsing fast

The scrum and the lineout, our big worries are about the only things that are functioning

Mile forward for the first try, Dupont knocked on at the scrum for the second. Not that it will change the result but it just killed the game off before it had even started. Not sure why he pinged prendergast either when it was a 50-50. The lads celebrating a penalty like we won the grand slam ffs

They have lost every contest in the air, knocking the ball on for fun and McCarthy showing how poor their discipline is. It's worse than I expected and I wasn't expecting much

Quote from: gallsman on February 05, 2026, 08:27:29 PMThey don't even think that's worth looking at?!

Scarily loose on LBB early doors.

France overwhelming favourites so why do the officials then let things like that go FFS it's not like they need the help. This is going to be a dicking and even more so with a bent ref

Yeah I always reckoned Hearts would run out of steam at some point, its Rangers who are more of a worry as they look pretty handy under the new manager

Quote from: An Watcher on February 02, 2026, 03:50:50 PMTime to cash in, buy two fellas for £10 million n put £15 million into the coffers.
Thats a crazy amount for a very average player.

Forest must be dripping in money.

Going from £11m to £25m inside 24 hours. Premiership coming down with money.

Raheem Sterling has been getting about 15 million a year for a long time now to warm a bench ffs

It's great value but only if we go on and buy someone, just a couple of loan deals so far and not much else

Quote from: Captain Scarlet on January 25, 2026, 07:35:17 PMI don't think the players downed tools for the last man in, and all the talk of tactics and systems didn't help BUT...

Bruno is much better further up the field.
Dorgu on the left and further up is better.
Playing Mainoo with Casemiro works better.

There is more protection now for the centre backs who can actually play decent balls from deep too.

So, all in all Amorim's was trying square pegs in round holes. And they now seem more free to play riskier passes and at a higher tempo.

A good coach would identify that very quickly instead that Muppet just dug his heels in and insisted playing his way. Not much different from that absolute clown Nancy that wrecked Celtic. Let's hope if they hire someone else they don't get another stubborn fool that refuses to actually play to the teams strengths

Exciting game here between Leinster and Connacht. That new stand at Connacht looks great. The gaa could learn a thing instead of some of the recent cow sheds that have been built and probably cost more too
