I dunno why but I liked Archer's books back in another age,I only read 2 or 3 and I think the first I read was a copy of Kane & Abel my mum had - very few got good reviews.

Good luck to Aidan Forker, he really did give it his all. A natural foward.

I was a bit surprised at how good Keady were in Armagh IFC yesterday. St Paul's probably not as strong as in recent seasons but Keady have really got their act together, plus they were missing their young County Senior prospect Tomas Galvin. St Peter's favs in the final I'd imagine.

There was a good wind. Said at HT it's not over, but I did expect Clann Eireann to see it out, they will have nightmares about this game. Fair play to Cross, enormous talent got them over the line,  they still dont look like a fully gelled team. I know with the new rules defences can being out to dry but Cross look pretty vulnerable at the back all the time. Killeavey probably happier that Cross came through. Rian got a straight red for a full frontal shoulder so will miss final, doubt it will be overturned.

Hugely surprised to see St Peter's as 8/15 favs v Pearse Ogs at 7/4 in Armagh IFC. I know where my money would he going. Could be the best. game of the weekend.

My treble for the weekend would he Ogs 7/4, Clann Eireann Evs  and Killeavy -handicap (by 5 or 6) as they are 1/4

Sure Unionism can say the £3m bill is caused by the GRR? Don't think you can lay that bill at their door if you look at it objectively.

As soon as GRR said it was acceptable before the OO had their say it was doomed.

Surely the only way out of this is the 'once and done' scenario being floated about. If the residents are agreeable and its legally airtight, sin é.

General discussion / Re: Diesel, petrol, oil price watch

From Trading Economics site today

Crude oil fell below $89 per barrel on Wednesday, extending losses from the previous session as signs of improving energy flows from the Middle East and another major release of emergency reserves in the US helped ease supply concerns. Analysts noted that the 10-day average of crude exports from the Middle East has recovered to 17.5 million barrels per day, equivalent to 98% of pre-war levels. This comes as Saudi Arabia resumed crude exports through its East-West pipeline at around half of its capacity, while a steady flow of oil via covert shipping continues through the Strait of Hormuz. In the US, the government plans to release up to 40 million barrels from the SPR as the country deals with soaring fuel prices. Industry data also indicated that US crude inventories increased by 1 million barrels last week. Still, the US oil benchmark remains on track for both a monthly and quarterly gain due to the prolonged US-Iran conflict and ongoing supply disruptions.

They'd have to be an attractive proposition for any ambitious manager anyway, no long  term projects there, a team that might just need a shove over the line.

Are they all Ryan Murphy shows? Started out with American Horror and that similar style runs through everything. If its not him, it's similar in style.

Hadn't seen anything about Grugan going, very sorry to hear that. Good luck to him & James Morgan, Morgan had a serious amount of injuries, surprised he lasted as long as he did. I hope Murnin doesn't go! Id have him at FF for a year, bomb it into him

Quote from: GTP on September 28, 2026, 07:49:13 PMLoyalists can't argue there is a right to march then object to marches. If it comes to a you object to my march and we will object to yours, Unionism has much more to lose. History would suggest that they will find some false equivalence in Irish culture, maybe the GAA, and target it.

Right...but the PC approved the Gaza march over the objections of the local residents

The local residents protested but didn't obstruct or prevent the parade from taking place

Next year- maybe they say, fvck it-we'll do the same as what they did on Garvaghy Rd
It was on a Canal towpath, not through a residential area.

Stepping outside the echo chamber and having a look around the odd time helps.  There's very little winning going on anywhere.

Kilcoo out. Good game. Well done Burren. Kilcoo came out in 2nd half and went up the gears, thought it was going to be same old story but Burren showed plenty of balls.
