Woman found guilty of keeping victim as slave and beating her, in the most squalid conditions. Gets bail!
I just do not get the legal system regarding giving bail. Bad enough giving bail to defendants facing henious allegations but to be found guilty and freed on bail. Horrendous case. Sickening.

Beat on the street:
Allianz/ GAA have pulled the launch at Croke tomorrow. Doing it remotely. Paudie Maher and Graham Geraghty are the 'legends' being used.
Can't say I'm  surprised at Geraghty... disappointing from Maher though.

Hopefully Tyrone can develop into a side worthy of some classic games[Vs Kerry] in years to come.

Kerry missing Tom O'Sullivan, Paudie Clifford, Diarmuid O'Connor, Paul Geaney, Dara Moynihan, Barry Dan O'Sullivan, Sean O'Shea, Tadgh Morley and Mike Breen for most of last year. All be fully fit for this year.
Kerry had most of those players back by the time they met Cavan in the preliminary quarter-final. Their reserve team could win Munster.. not even a Division 1 team in Munster so is no big challenge to the quarter-final.

Quote from: moonster on January 20, 2026, 09:27:41 PMUlster - Donegal
Connacht - Mayo
Leinster - Kildare
Munster - Kerry

All-Ireland - Kerry

Will be couple handy titles for Kerry with lack of opposition. Dubs in transition, Mayo and Galway fill their togs against kerry in knockout championship. Ulster teams now fill their  togs against kerry and haven't to new rules. Wont beat the kingdom men 12 bodies behind the goal. McGuinness and co were shown up last year.
I'm guessing you mean 12 bodies behind the ball?!
Such a lazy anti-Ulster analysis. Kerry will probably win because they have the best players and the new rules allow the best players to express themselves... David Clifford especially.
Priceless coming from Waterford that tried to bring a blanket defence into hurling  :D  ::)

Big support from Dublin greats ...

Dear Ger and the Dublin team,
We former Dublin footballers would like to congratulate you on your great moral  and courageous protest and your refusal to be complicit with Allianz and the GAA in their complicity in Genocide in GAZA.
This magnificent gesture will mark this team as special . We believe it will also define your team as much more than a group of footballers. It will remember you as a group of young men dared challenge the status quo and use their prominence in Irish life to highlight the atrocities being committed in Gaza.
You are a team of character and principles ... traits that will win you the all Ireland this year.
We former Dublin Footballers salute you and want you to know we are very proud of you
David Hickey, Bobby Doyle,Tommy Drumm, Alan Larkin, Philly Mc Mahon, Paddy O Reilly, Michael Hickey,Pat Gilroy, Michael Dara Mc Cauley, Mickey Whelan, Ian Robertson, Andy Roche, John Caffrey and Norman Bernard .

My pleasure, super show. I'll recommend another 'Animal Kingdom' 2016 with Ellen Barkin
Good man! I just looked at the reviews etc looks good alright. I'll check it out. I can't really quid pro quo.. sounds like you'd already know any big series I'd know. Thanks.

Does seem to be a fear of penalising the big name player even within the club championship in the county. Maybe in awe or fear of the big star. And often get their frees handier.

A few iffy decisions went Dingle's way including bottling that black card but that's hardly their fault I suppose. You take your luck as it comes.
Such an exciting game. Football has definitely been saved.
As Sean Kelly said when he presented the Sam Maguire to Brian Dooher in 2005, "let there be no begrudgers".

St Brigids denied two fouls before losing possession. Such is life. Great game. Some achievement three Kerry senior teams winning All Ireland senior, intermediate and junior All Irelands.

Dingle determined to walk the ball into the net. Could have easily taken a few more points. Hope it costs them!  :)

There are hundreds of refs so I'm not sure who did a poll to find out how they feel about these late late decisions that aren't based on the offence but an emotional campaign to give the lad his big day.
