Phoned xtravision on thursday and paid a £50.00 deposit. Got the wii today £179.99 plus trhe option of FIFA 08 or Tiger Woods 08 at half price.

I believe that most of the console shortages are just scaremongering tactics (which people with kids can not afford to ignore unfortunately)

What happens when everybody has finished Tasering Newton's B*ll*cks.

Will the PSNI give Amnesty an Amnesty to allow them to hand over the weapon, or in the meantime will they just be wanted

QuoteI bet Chris Hughton stays and will be holding that board for the next manager.

It looks like Houghton has been sacrificed as well.

Spurs have over achieved for the last 2 seasons (under Martin Jol) and their fans want to believe that they can surpass their arch rivals (Arsenal) in the premiership.

They have to face 2 realities of the modern game

1. You can not buy success, without a billonaire owner.

2. British players rarely justify theirt transfer fees, (Darren Bent)

Tottenham need to prepare a long term policy, which entails employing a manager who  wouldn't take that kind of sh*t from Berbatov,  & stop making scape goats of their managers.

Quote200 pages into  the IT book and it is excellent but I will watch the movie too. I suppose King is one of few novelists who have had films version surpass thier books i.e Shawshank and Green Mile.

Apart from "Dolores Clairbourne", "Misery" and the "Dead Zone" the film adaptations of Stephen King Novels have rarely lived up to the original.

The Shawshank Redemption & The Green Mile are both feel good movies, which despite being good movies, dont live up to the original stories and are untypical of King books.

Has anyone who says that Shawshank the movie is better than the book actually read the book

"It" was an overly long book and a rubbish movie.

As a Tv mini series "Salems Lot" wasn't a bad adaptaion for its time.

Quote"I don't understand bus lanes. Why do poor people have to get to places quicker than I do?"

So true.

Its like having reserved places for families with young children at supermarkets.
I appreciate that they may need more space to get their youngsters in and out of the cars. But why do these spaces need to be close to the entrances to the shop?
Surely if these places were at the furthest reaches of the car parks, the extra exercise pushing the trollies would help the mothers to get fit again

Well, they blew up the chicken man in philly last night
Now, they blew up his house, too
Down on the boardwalk theyre gettin ready for a fight
Gonna see what them racket boys can do

Now, theres trouble bustin in from outta state
And the d.a. cant get no relief
Gonna be a rumble out on the promenade
And the gamblin commissions hangin on by the skin of his teeth

Well now, evrything dies, baby, thats a fact
But maybe evrything that dies someday comes back
Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty
And meet me tonight in atlantic city

Maybe if he lay between two sheets of tracing paper and they used a 4B pencil

QuoteIf everyone stopped being blind to the facts then bonds and co would have to walk away and leave it to the real sportsmen.alex rodrigeuz, jeter, michael jordan, beckham, mark messier and tom brady are real sportsmen that look like they train or did train hard without drugs as a platform.

Even if Beckham didn't take drugs, he had no problem playing along side Rio Ferdinand. Can you still consider your sucesses to be genuine if you are clean but your team mates aren't?

QuoteBy the careless whisk of many a mountain breeze
An old trench coat that´s battle stained and worn
And breeches almost threadbare at the knees

A Sam Browne Belt with a buckle big and strong
and a holster thats been empty manys a day
(But not for long)

QuotePeople will be more worried about keeping their jobs and social conservatism and conformity will return. People will have less money and so will move from expensive to cheaper pursuits. They'll move away from reality TV to escapism and fantasy (the Potter mania may be an early indication). Romance, Westerns, SF and Fantasy and so on will be back in vogue. People don't like reality when it's grim and want to get away from it in their leisure time. People will mend and make do rather than junk stuff when it's broken. They'll also speak to their neighbours again. People need to know there are other people to help when they're in trouble and so individualism will wane.

Bring it on.

Having no house to live in is a small price to pay for getting rid of Big Brother & the X Factor
