Quote from: Bunt69 on October 06, 2026, 11:22:45 PMThat COPE lot are not as professional as they like to make out and have had quite a few screw ups including fall outs with the guards. Also some assaults off camera. They are all benefit scroungers who seek adoration.
How do they make money from online stuff. What sums are we talking?

At least the police are more clued onto it now, that's something good from it at least.

The catch a predator show in US was crazy stuff. Ones I saw on youtube, perps were practically lining themselves up one after the other outside the house to get in. Chris Hansen no angel in real life though apparently. But brilliant in South Park.

Bastards are still at it. Don't ever let anyone try to convince you that this is an issue that only existed in the past.
Nor only an issue that existed in the Catholic Church for that matter. BBC and British Government more than their fair share of skeletons. Or what's happening across the pond with Epstein. Cover up right in front of our eyes.
We didn't give Epstein schools and hospitals to run
There was more than the church running things. And plenty of absolute psychos in the lay community with access to kids. Paedos and the like find their way in everywhere whether it be misfits in the clergy, powerful business men or your humble soccer/swimming coach. Very naive to think otherwise or tar everyone with the same brush.

Quote from: mrdeeds on October 05, 2026, 11:18:12 PMLacken won Cavan junior championship easily. No surprise with Thomas Galligan giving a Man of Match performance. Intermediate final is Denn v Butlersbridge.
Division 1 or Division 2?

Relegated from division 2 to division 3 this year.

But could potentially be Cavans strongest champion of recent years which further enforces the point that league means very little in Cavan.

Stronger than Arva?

No Arva were stronger. Both similar stories though. Players injured and emigrated and relegated and then came back and won junior. But Arva were an all round better team with good youngsters.
Yeah a few things misaligned for Arva then realigned. Injuries, emigration. Top players came back at a time when some brilliant younger players were stepping up. But traditionally they'd be a Junior club.

Lacken deserve to be Junior but they are an Intermediate club. First time ever in their history they found themselves in Junior because of injuries and emigration coupled with failure to keep young players in the club. Amalgamation with Gowna at underage has really damaged the conveyor belt. They'll be a tough opponent but not sure if they're good enough to do an Arva. Think they'll find the going in Intermediate tough enough too for next few years.

Winter football might suit Lacken though - physical outfit.
Very true. A few Galligan 2 pointers would go a long way.
Has he been travelling or something this few years? Remember him in that covid year being a phenomenal player but hasn't played much for Cavan since?
It was actually the goalie Ray I was referencing. Yes Tomas his cousin is just back home. Was in Australia for a few years. Think he spent a bit of time in US this year too. His mum is American so assume he's fairly free to go in and out.

Anyone know if the groups in Prime Time have loyalist affiliations? Seems unlikely if they're operating down south too.

Lacken Division 3 next year. Intermediate finalists one relegated to Division 3 next year and one promoted up from Division 3.

Understand this news may be devastating to some of you northern boys. Will have to find something else to bitch about. But I'm sure that won't be a problem.

That is young. Same age as my mother when she passed away. I wonder if it was cancer as well.
That's very sad Pat. RIP to your mum.

Read she was awaiting specialist treatment in US so assume it was cancer of some sort.

Quote from: screenexile on October 05, 2026, 09:49:52 PMWhy can't they just hand these dossiers over to the Police?

The videos are performative and just a bunch of headbangers showing off!! From all the videos I've seen in the past catching the paedo looks secondary to the abuse they can fire at them.
Had thought similar when catching a glance of some of the reels that pop up now and again on FB. But watching that Prime Time, couldn't help but feel they're decent people.

Maybe they feel if they just go Police route only, perp will get kid glove treatment and their identities protected. At least when they pop it up on SM, they have no hiding place within the community.

Quote from: Look-Up! on October 05, 2026, 05:18:18 PMHaven't seen any of the other ones where innocent people get stitched up but the ones on Prime Time claim to operate on very strict rules and don't first engage with sexual chat or entrapment. And also declare underage persona within first couple of posts. So I wouldn't be buying the harmless sort on the spectrum when talking about the type of people they snare. They are seriously dangerous people out to meet kids and I would want to know if someone like that is living next door. F**k em.

So while I get the argument that they could pass the info onto authorities, they would still be free to operate in the community with anonymity, for a period at least. Kids deserve better protection than that.

They do, so pass it on to the professionals who do it for a living? As they are still free to do what they want until they are arrested charged and jailed.

You don't get the argument that these people make paedos find victims differently as they know it can be (unless you're a complete numpty) most likely a sting?
Don't understand half of that post.

The professionals are not doing it though are they? Might be getting into it a bit more now that they have been seriously shown up by a bunch of amateur sleuths. And identity of perps is protected too. Sex offenders register if strictly confidential in Ireland as far as I know. So not nearly the same thing and so they are free to operate with anonymity if living in the community. Paedos should not be protected. Kids should.

Saw this on Prime Time. Divides opinion. Are they a menace out for likes and possibly putting innocent people at risk or are they heroes of the community? Having watched how these two particular groups work I'd have to agree with the latter.
