Lads does anyone know whats going on as regards Paudi.Theres talks of another year and if he cannot apply himself properly to the job he should head back to Ventry .He was a great player no doubt but i'mm afraid his not giving us 100%. Its time to move on and get the football program on track.

Shamrock Shore

I heard he turned up to a hurling training session recently.

Don't think he's really focussed to be honest.

Clare Defeat poor London side

■Allianz Football League Roinn 4

                 Clare 5-10   London 0-4

Despite playing against a stiff breeze in the opening half, Clare were quick out of the blocks and had 1-2 on the board before London scored. Alan Clohessy fisted Clare's opening goal in the sixth minute, but three pointed frees by Eoin O'Neill brought the exiles back into contention.

However, Gary Brennan punched to the net to move Clare further clear and David Tubridy added a point to leave the half time score 2-3 to 0-3.

The second half belonged to Tubridy as he scored two goals as well as kicking some fine points. Indeed the talented forward notched 2-2 without reply and finished the match with an impressive 2-7 for the afternoon.

Clohessy scored his second goal of the game late on as Clare ran riot during the second half with London having no answer for their strong running on and off the ball.

London's only score of the second half came deep in injury time when O'Neill pointed with virtually the last kick of the game.

Clare win easily

Clare 5-22             Down 0-6

CLARE had no problem at Cusack Park, Ennis, yesterday in dismissing the challenge of Down in the Allianz HL Division 2.

The Mourne men's chances of causing an upset were effectively snuffed out as early as the 18th minute when wing back Kevin McGarry was sent off for a second yellow card offence by referee Tommy Ryan. To add to the visitors' woes, a second dismissal, just after half-time, this time a straight red for full-forward Aidan Clarke, compounded their predicament.

It was a complete mismatch and the Clare management will not have learned much for the tie. Indeed Ger 'Sparrow' O'Loughlin alluded to this shortly after the final whistle.

"The two sendings-off made a bit of a farce of the game. It's hard to read into it what we can learn from the game though," he said.

By half-time the Banner led by 2-8 to 0-1, with goals coming from Caimin Morey and Colin Ryan (penalty). McGarry's dismissal followed when he was censured for a high challenge on Clare's John Conlan.

Within minutes of the restart, the Ulster side were down to 13 when a pull by Clarke caught Pat Vaughan on the hand.

There was little to entertain the small crowd thereafter. Clare introduced substitutes and Diarmuid McMahon made his presence felt by scoring a brace of goals. Colin Ryan hit Clare's other second-half goal when he picked up a loose ball and delivered a low shot to the net.

Scorers for Clare: C Ryan 2-6 (1-0p, 2f), D McMahon 2-0, N O'Connell 0-6f, C Morey 1-1, J Conlon 0-3, F Lynch, C Dillon 0-2 each, J Clancy, S Collins 0-1 each.

A SUPERB second-half display, during which Kilmurry-Ibrickane kicked eight points and kept Doonbeg scoreless, was the key to the home side's win in Quilty last Sunday afternoon.
