I find it uncomfortable watching the speculation about successors to Mickey Harte whether Derrymen, Fermanaghmen or whatever when Harte is still in the job and is seeing out his contract for 1 more year.  I think we need to have a little respect here lads.
Well said. Complete disrespect. A couple of other factors
Why would O'Rourke leave the Ulster champions to come to us?
I can't see Tyrone CB financing an outside manager considering the current financial plight that it's in.

The biggest problem in Tyrone at the moment is that the current management set up have the potential to split the county.  The way football is coached in the county has been based on the belief that systems and tactics are more important than natural ability. It is time for change but my fear is that Harte has the potential to destroy his own legacy. Canavan had the good grace to recognise the right time to exit stage left does Mickey ?
I beg to differ on the line about tactics. Yesterdat I didn't see any plan or system of play whatsoever. Armagh had a clear defensive plan that we simply couldn't work out. My criticism would be that we have no system of play for quite some time.

Personally I would give Garvaghey away as a prize in the half time draw in Omagh on Sunday.
A massive drain on money that the county can't afford. Bad site, badly designed, not fit for purpose with regards to coaching. An over the top office block with a few pitches on top of a mountain. It sums up the lack of regard for football and coaching. A symbol of everything that is wrong.
Best post I have witnessed yet. We played a minor final last year in garvaghey. No shelter from the elements. The wind and rain made the game a lottery. Not fit for purpose.

Is this under lights man for real?? Some crazy statements. CCC are run by a dictator with no regard for players or clubs. County teams including seniors also treated like sh#te.

He must be on the ccc or has no involvement at club level to see what really is going on.... or he is winding us up...
Has to be. No sane person would try to defend the indefensible.

Again, shocked by the yapping and uproar at playing games.

Some should be so lucky, there have been periods in the past where players have had no games for 6 to 7 weeks.  Now we have a scenario where people are complaining they have too many games to play  ::)

Give me games over training any day of the week and give me 5 games in 3 weeks as opposed to 5 games in 5 months.  People aren't happy unless they are complaining.
The county board will continue to prosper with or without Brendan Harpur and football will still go on. The fixtures in general have been really well organised by the CB this year and with regards to adult football, we have gotten to the July break with approx. half of the league played which is no mean feat considering you have to juggle what the county sides are doing.

If it was so easy, some of the fools on here could organise it.  Its a voluntary organisation lads, maybe some of the more vocal people on here might throw their hat into the ring for next season and give us a fixture schedule that is perfect  ::)
The Tyrone County Board will continue to prosper!!! Are you serious about that comment?

I can see his point but in my opinion minor footballers should not be playing senior football at all.
That's fine and dandy in Errigal where you have lots of footballers. Small clubs like ours need our minors. Fixture planners have to account for the amount of football these lads are playing.

Petey harte broke his wrist in the game last night

How could that have happened? I thought no one was allowed to go near him or put a tackle on him
Poor taste. None of that is the lads fault.

That Tyrone team managed by Donal donnelly were a good outfit but might have taken mayo lightly which they had no reason to do.  Some Tyrone men were on their third ulster championship medal. 3 me gold rick brothers in the panel from Dromore. ..last three brothers in the panel until the mac kenna last week. ???
Definitely wasn't three mcgoldricks on panel. Ever.

Something would need to be done about minor and u-21.
Under 21s I would agree on but we were in the All Ireland minor final last year.

If the Louth game is set for Sunday week (which is an option) in theory should the county players be available on Sunday?
As far as I know, the seven day rule is seven clear days.  That would mean that they can't play sunday.

Is Tyrone as a county developing players at the correct rate it seems we are not something obviously not right in our coaching set up from 18-21... if mattie donnelly or sean cavanagh ever got hurt we would be not better than ANTRIM. ..SON has not played a good championship game in years!!!!
Agreed this issue is bigger that any one manager or team.  We are not developing good forwards, midfielders or marking defenders.
We have moved away from the fundamentals of the game and are producing generic players who can solo the length of the field and little else.
Who overlooks the entire development squad set up?
Would MH not oversee that in some capacity.
Can't agree about the development system. Most of the players on Sunday have won medals on the biggest stage at minor or senior level. Unfortunately some of them have their best football behind them. More striking for me is that we don't seem to have a clear system of play.

Can anyone confirm what the qualifier rule is? Is it 7 days? It's a pity the county players couldn't have played a round of league fixtures this Friday or Saturday. And another one the Friday after the Louth game assuming Tyrone win. That along with a couple more starred games would leave the fixtures in decent shape going into the summer.

I'm glad they're going ahead with the reserve championships this year. It was always crazy leaving the players sitting around all summer over the county stuff. Would question the timing of games around the league fixtures though. Plenty of times to play the reserve games over the summer so not sure why they're playing games a few days apart.
Seven day rule for back door. Same applies to county minors I think.

I have to agree that Errigal were over represented or maybe misrepresented on the 03 panel. Pascal was better than a lot of the squad members. No doubt one or two of those other lads were lucky to be there. You have to wonder if their club was different, would they have been there?

Easy wins for Pomeroy and Errigal

Stephen McCrory seems a big asset to that Errigal III team.

Did he start the All Ireland Minor final in 2008?
Stephen played in the 08 minor final.  I think at corner back
