Heslin named in the 26 so you'd assume he'll definitely feature.

He is an academy product on a serious wage, best thing is to let him move on, it will never work out at united if his heart isn't in it. A good saving on the wages this summer with himself and Casemiro leaving also.Could get 3-4 very tidy players wages with the money saved from that waster plus Casemiros wages.
If Carrick gets the job, he is working from a good place going into the transfer market. Less poison hanging around, few players need shipped on than before, bigger wage budget to work with. He can have little excuses going into next season.
Quote from: AustinPowers on May 15, 2026, 12:25:48 PMBit of Friday trivia......Giggsy, Teddy Sheringham, would guess Milner or Gareth Barry.
Five outfield players have played a game in the PL aged 40+
Can you name them?
Quote from: RedHand88 on May 15, 2026, 11:40:41 AMDo we not have an Israel thread for all this crap? It's annoying the same 3 or 4 people polluting every thread with it over and over perpetually. Not everyone is going to agree with your POV. Accept it and move on.It would be some crisis for Labour if he didn't and you'd have the Reformatories calling for a general election if so.
Back to labour.
Has anyone considered the possibility that Burnham doesn't win the by election? They did really really badly there in the council elections last week. Different kettle of fish in a general of course with a potential future leader on the ballot, but he has a huge gap to close. It may be a bridge too far?
How do Makerfield voters feel about their constituency being used like this by the Burnham side of Labour?
Quote from: Ethan Tremblay on May 15, 2026, 10:55:21 AMHe's the exception- was probably the best player in the county by then anyway and I suppose the team back then was a good bit easier to break intoQuote from: DaleCooper on May 15, 2026, 10:03:27 AMHow many of those would have been loyal soldiers for Geezer and never got a look in til now?
Armagh have earned an Ulster and should do it.
From recent memory, Rian O'Neil came straight into the starting team when he was first drafted onto the panel. There are players that would be known around Armagh as good prospects, but have limited roles their first year or two with Armagh. Tomas Galvin this year being a notable case. Gave up soccer to play for Armagh. Think he got a few minutes against Down and thats been it. Same for the younger O'Neil. Good talent, limited time.
This method has worked out alright for the like of McMullen and McQuillan, who are excelling at present and have not been rushed into the starting team despite their quality.

Quote from: naka on May 15, 2026, 08:42:43 AMIf I am right 8 changes from the Armagh team that played last year in the final against DonegalYeah serious turnover, seen the sideline eye had an article that 15 of the 28 players who featured in 2024 are unavailable for one reason or another now.
That's a fair turnover .
Credit to the management team on that .
Quote from: Milltown Row2 on May 15, 2026, 07:00:51 AMArmagh to win handy this weekend..I sincerely hope so.
This has been a crusade with the management to win an Ulster.
Monaghan's efforts last day was their big win and it's been a hard season so far with all the defeats on the league, but an incredible run through to the final will come up short.
Unless Armagh shit the nest or get a player sent off, all plausible lol, then Armagh to win by 7 pulling up

Quote from: Ciarrai_thuaidh on May 14, 2026, 09:13:46 PMWord down here is final will be Friday 29th or Saturday 30th now. Better than jamming it in midweek at least which would be extremely unfair on players, management and families especially but also supporters. Why on earth you'd bring in u19 unless you're also bringing back u21 I have no idea. It's already a massive step for u20's to a senior team never mind reducing it again.
Semi finals and finals of this competition should be on weekends, I would've thought that was obvious and fair but of course the GAA have their own agenda of pushing for U19 to be the Grade after Minor so no suprise they'd treat the competition poorly.
Anyway, another Kerry v Tyrone final. Kerry have some good players but a few bad injuries unfortunately at the wrong time. Killian Dennehy is a huge loss. But just have to drive on.
Quote from: seafoid on May 14, 2026, 09:54:34 PMWe'll not be overly critical on the economy given the effect the orange pedos distraction war has and will have to be fairQuote from: bennydorano on May 14, 2026, 09:48:44 PMIf Starmer is deposed that will be the 6th or 7th PM in 10 years, a Banana Republic would be embarrassed with that stat. How can any long term forward planning be done? The UK is in a doom cycle. If and when Reform get their day, they will be much worse. It'll probably take until then for the masses to really understand how much of a colossal failure Brexit has been. The economy is banjaxed. 0.8% growth this year. Some official called 0.6% growth in the first quarter"robust"
Quote from: Main Street on May 14, 2026, 06:35:52 PMRegardless we will always have 2023, and before that there's been a few to Monaghan's favour, the first championship game after the AI victory, next a qualifier win in Clones, only memorable for it's absolute drudgery (ie. except for Paul Finlay's winning point). That was an unreal game of football. Rian O'Neill was absolutely exceptional.
Then the one when Banty stuck a young Darren Hughes in goal, Armagh down to 14. Banty struck again in the Covid semi final against a very decent Armagh team. Any victories by Armagh have been memory wiped.

ANTI-SEMITE!!
you have to be persecuting Semites before you can be called an anti-semite.
Ashkenazi's aren't semites but you knew that anyway.
I was being tongue-in-cheek. I refer you to post #593.
I was indeed being pedantic with my comment about Ashkenazi's not being semites and Gallsman comment about it being "widely understood" is accepted at being anti jew, if being incorrect is probably the accepted understanding, yet the IHRA description of anti-semitism bundles any criticism of Israel as also being anti-semitic.
Those who felt the need to bundle the state of Israel as being an entirely Jewish entity and hence criticism is anti-semitic have done more harm to the Jewish people than they envisaged.
There are plenty of Jewish groups who support and attend the Pro Palestine marches in both London and NYC, so where do they stand on the anti-semitic scale?
