Quote from: twohands!!! on February 11, 2026, 07:05:16 PMSeems like an unusually high number of Mayo lads on the UL squad. Anyone any idea why?

Don't know why and I think I counted 9 Mayo lads on the Mary Immaculate College, Limerick team in this afternoon's Trench Cup final

Any teamsheets for Trench Cup?

Quote from: Truthsayer on January 18, 2026, 05:43:24 PMSt Brigids denied two fouls before losing possession. Such is life. Great game. Some achievement three Kerry senior teams winning All Ireland senior, intermediate and junior All Irelands.

When Kerry teams are tackled like that they get the free.

Quote from: Ciarrai_thuaidh on January 11, 2026, 02:38:11 PMAre people simple or what? League and championship are totally spearate in Kerry, played at different times of year, one with county players/one without.
Personally have no real issue with league and championship being separate. Kerry should have more than 8 senior clubs though. But that's their choice until something is done about it.

Why can't they have 16 clubs in the senior club championship? Then let the 16 teams compete for 8 slots along with 8 amalgamtions for the county championship.

There are 9 Senior clubs, going up to 10 next year. Tried to make it 12 with 8 divisional teams but Croke park wouldn't allow it.

An Ghaeltacht great odds at 7/5. Won't be as poor as the last day.

Quote from: square_ball on January 08, 2026, 09:55:36 PMMartinelli is some tr**p. A Liverpool player should have filled him.

He misread the situation and he will regret it.

Surely understandable though given how often players fake injury?

Martinelli was faking injury earlier in second half. He also threw the ball at Bradley.

Conor McCarthy couldn't get into game when introduced. Plenty wasn't fully fit.

Quote from: Milltown Row2 on January 04, 2026, 04:27:22 PMThe poor shooting can be attributed to many things, pressure from st Bridits, wrong men on the ball (number 8 had plenty of chances) keeping them at bay and turnovers

Best team won

Absolutely but some of it was just downright poor. Think it was Maguire who went for one off the right from near enough the endline and then about 30 seconds later McCarron went for an awful one off the outside of the boot.

Was Shane Carey who missed chanced before McCarron.

Another entertaining game of football. Brigids need to work on their own kickouts.
