This is a very desperate shot, does anyone know of cheap hostels in NY for New Years. What should I expect to pay? I'll sleep anywhere that has a bed to be honest as I know I've left it late to get anything organised and I can imagine that there isn't much left. I've been searching randomly for a while but everything is either booked or charging me around $160 a night for a hostel!!!

This place has rooms for $100 for 12/31. You could book the cheaper rooms for the 29th and 30th and make a separate reservation for the 31st

It is in Brooklyn, but keep in mind, many parts of Brooklyn and Queens are closer to Times Sq than parts of Manhattan. Website says ots 15 mins by subway from Times Sq.

It gets great reviews on Tripadvisor
