i can vaguely remember covering this in business law at College.
From what i remember Adidas sued o'Neills for the use of the 3 stripes, but O'Neills got away with it because they were only licensed to use it in Ireland. EG if you try to get an O neills jersey sent to you if you live abroad it will only have 2 stripes on it.

Doyle played full back when Dan went to mid field for 2nd half . Tried all the boys out Eoin Mc Cartan played full game but got hurt last night at training another sprained ankle . That pitch in the Abbey strikes again . Daniel Mc Cartan best player on the field v Roscommon Shine never scored

What was the result against the Rossies

In Burren and up the Armagh Road in Newry i have seen Barcelona flags. ABU bigots.

Nothing worse than those shower of p***ks.

Newry looked splendid last September with all the flags and Buntings pity that prod sam maguire never turned up for his fooking party.

Last three years the All Ireland winner has come from round 2.

Tyrone were in the qualifiers from Round 1 in 08.

Yes Dan Gordon does a decent job at centre back but the fact is he is playing out of his best position. If Gordon was in the middle Down would win alot more ball therefore limiting the amount of attacks on our woeful defence.
Dan is wasted in there and to be honest is he really that good of a defender to warrant taking him out of the middle when or midfueld is so poor.

An absolutely disgraceful performance by Down. if they continue to play that badly then we wont see mid july. to be honest they dont deserve to.
A sizeable Down crowd spent a lot of money to get to Ennis today to watch that crap.
McCartan and the mgt team and players should be ashamed of themselves.
Wake up mcCartan and put Gordon in to the middle

GAA Discussion / Re: GAA & Tourism - A Joke.
June 20, 2011, 04:36:12 PM
The fact that a last train out of a major Town is 8pm is a joke.  but the GAA are struggling to attract their own people nwever mind tourists.
Entry costs are unrealistic. Why should anyone have to pay the same amount into Pairc esler for example as they do into Croke Park.
all county grounds should have considerably cheaper access than the modern stadium at HQ.
How can the GAA justify charging 25 euro for example into a bog standard stand which wouldnt be out of place in 1940's english soccer grounds where you can barely get a cup of tea or have a clear view with posts everywhere. Compared to Croker. The GAA is run by people who are so out of tiuch its unreal.
Thankfully they have reduced prices. 10 euro terrace and 15 covered seating is more than enough for provincial grounds.
dont worry about attracting tourists until the GAA stop shafting their own.
i will travel a long journey on saturday to Ennis and wont know what price is into game until i get there due to the non existant info from GAA.
Pay someone 100,000 a year to market the games FFS.

Well done Rory after your terrible back nine in Augusta you were magnificent last night.

Down, Ulster, northern Ireland, Ireland, Britain we are all proud of you regardless of whatever flag you stand under.
Well done

Well done Derry, by far the better team. There was a country mile between the 2 teams yesterday. Armagh were exceptional against Down but we seen the real orchard yesterday. Hope Derry
go on and win Ulster. hope you dont hit that old Self destruct button.

What do you guys make of the fixture schedule? this week only one football game (Armagh v Derry) & next weekend 12 games, wouldn't it be better to have half of the qualifiers on this Saturday?

The whole set up of the championship is a joke, yep half the qualifiers could be out of the way by sunday evening. But common sense never comes into it with the GAA.
