This didn't happen over night the last 2 years have led to this the players deserve better than this management team in particular the manager.

If the county board had anything about them a statement will be made by tomorrow morning that it's over.

Are you sure it's not an open draw ? I'd be really really hoping to avoid Meath and Down . The other team will more than likely be Antrim who would be our best draw by far

Best possible draw hopefully the players can push on after the year they have had with the current manager they deserve a few good Days out.

Hopefully Billy doesn't make this about him again and allows the players to enjoy the build up

What was so impressive about that Tipperary All-ireland winning minor team was the calibre of the Dublin side that they defeated in the final. That Dublin minor team comprised of players such as Robbie McDaid, Lowndes, Small, McCaffrey, Costello, Kilkenny, Mannion, Davy Byrne and Niall Scully who have been all key figures for Dublin over the last decade. Power was the manger of that team as well and worked on development squads prior to this bringing these players along.

Laois could do with someone of his ilk coming in and working to get the underage structures right and bring players through to senior. I cannot see any stand out internal candidates to take on the Laois senior job- perhaps Kinsella but while his record is good its not exceptional either. If Billy can pull a result at the weekend and put in a decent showing in a Tailteann Cup quarter final I wouldn't be surprised if he was to get one more year in the job. The argument could be made that he has had to deal with a high turnover or players and that he has blooded several new players and it will take another year to see the benefits of this bear fruit.

Was I expected us to win absolutely not.
But I have to ask the question why play sweepers against Division 4 teams to then change tactics completely against the likes of Dublin and have the game out of reach after 6 mins.

Second half mark timmons did a job sweeping the mind boggles with the thought process of this management team.

A genuine conversation needs to let the current manager in for the cup competition.

You can't lose to Leitrim and Wicklow and expect to be promoted. Division 4 is very much our level unfortunately and the sooner Billy walks the better. Also, are we the only Division 3/4 county with a 16 team senior championship? For such a poor standard of football internally in Laois we sure do have grand notions about ourselves. Our senior and underage structures are breeding mediocrity. We're not where we are by accident.

Laois, both football and hurling, need a serious re-vamp ....starting at their underage structures.

Need to go back to square one asap.
