Id say Aviva cover those 2. Considering they have the naming rights for the stadium.

Utd were dreadful last night. Havent been as good as results suggest. Takimg off casemiro and Mainoo was a poor decision by Carrick.
Some poor peeformances all over. But Mbeumo and Cunha were as poor as ive seen them. Sesko got veey little into him.
When not playing well a draw wouldve been a good result, a good manager wouldve seen that. Carrick didnt. CL qualification is still a possibility but it shouldnt mean Carrick gets the job.

Quote from: tiempo on March 02, 2026, 11:52:00 AMThis gaffer cud of got a tune out of Aaron Wan-Bissaka the way he's turned things around

Shoe in for the full time job if they come third, interesting to see what he does with the war chest

Still think they need to build it from the back, basically a whole new back 4 needed, but Utd have got 'back on track' before only to spunk a pile on attacking players for it to come back and bite in the arse

Would you invite Rashford back into the mix for 26-27?

I dont believe Carrick should.be given the job if CL qualification is delivered. He is doing well but isnt the longteem answer.
Also rashford wil lhopefully never play for united again. He spat the dummy, very few would take him back.

Yeah but you woukd prefer to be sure by winning Div 3. Being in the Tailteann would be a disaster for Down.

Looking forward to tomorrow night and hopefully sealing promotion with 2 games to go.
Fermanagh caused us a lot of problems in the championship so it wont be easy.
Hopefully get to give some fringe players a chance in last 2 games and buuld for the league final and the Donegal game.

Quote from: snoopdog on February 24, 2026, 08:10:21 AMLammens is a cool customer. How refreshing is it to see a keeper able to hold a ball. A good find by united.

Lammens was Uniteds MOTM, which is saying something as Everton are limited in the attacking sense and were still all over United in the second half only to get caught out on the break.

All over them? Yes they won  corners but bar theyre 1 tactic of tryimg to put the keeper under pressure that totally failed , united were comfortqbly holdimg them.

Down were totally dominant in Wexford. Only for the 2 point frees for wexford in the 1st half Down wouldve lead by more.  Still conceding far too much though.
Win next sat night and back up to div 2.
Odhran Murdock makes it look so easy.

I supoose the question on Odhran is why does he go missing for periods in games. Maybe not fully fit or carrying a but of an injury. He looked to have landed hard on his right shoulder early in 2nd half.
An absolutely magnificent footballer. Id say if we get the win in wexford He might get a breather v Fermanagh .

Quote from: JimStynes on February 15, 2026, 07:46:15 PMThe positions Celtic have put themselves in and then manage to get out of it with late winners is impressive 😂 Rangers had a great win and looked twice the team than hearts. It's going down to the wire it seems!!

Celtic will come unstuck sooner or later playing lime that.

Quote from: Aristo 60 on February 14, 2026, 09:13:01 PMToo many subs made too early. Wasnt enough resp3ct shown to W3stmeath when we knew they'd be strong opposition. Had there been 5 mins injury time we might have let that slip.

I hope the scoring difference we could have had doesnt come back to bite us later but hopefully not as Div 3 is a fairly forgiving place for us thus far.

Agree. Emptying the bench nearly bit us in the ass. 3 wins, but none comfortable. Looking fwd to Wexford next sunday.

Down were 12 points uo and crusing . Then they emptied the bench and nearly lost it.
Westmeath were suprisingly poor until Down collapsed. Westmeath in the end shouldve got something.

So far they've converted nobody.

It's not really what the GAAboard needs, is it?

Hard to convert the heartless

Aye people worried they might miss seeing a football match.
No, people are worried they might miss hundreds of games

Like the Allianz thread. If you dont agree with them then your an im alright jack.

You would wnder what happened Abbey in 1st half last sunday. Maybe nerves got to them. Thankfully they got over that in 2nd half and deservedly won the replay.
