Protesting is making your point in public. Blocking roads is simply coercion, they have no right whatsoever to involve third parties.

Vote for a party that has that a policy, if they win then they will be the government. But the majority of people do not want to cut the price of fuel in general, so you might be out of luck.

How do you work that out? Must be some amount of folk then sitting pretty with loads of disposable income.

The high tax on fuel in Europe is a deliberate policy to reduce the effects of price variations.
But whatever your income, tax has to be collected on something, and people may think fuel as good as the alternative.
