King Henry to take over the Galway senior hurlers. More power to him!
Who has he managed prior to this?

Ballyhale Shamrocks to a senior club all Ireland and Thomastown in Kilkenny Intermediate championship atm.

Should be Mountmellicks to lose, Just think they'll have too much strength in depth and should win by 5 or 6. Regardless I'd worry for them at senior level compared to Clonaslee, Rosenallis and Courtwood they are an aging team that will struggle at senior level, I can't see them staying up if they do win it,

Will be an even enough game. Didnít see Gearoid Hanrahan on team for Mountmellick is he away?

Park were full value for win yesterday 3 wins on the bounce in Stradbally. Kieran Kelly in fairness has them fairly well drilled and they didnít panic when Kilcruise came back into it towards last 10 minutes. Only a matter of time when they go up to senior ranks a good mix of youth and experience at the moment. Kilcruise had a couple of the na Fianna og players on that minor a final so I imagine theyíll be an addition to them in a year or 2.

Depressing to see the negativey  towards Rosenallis today and overall throughout the year in both hurling and football, They are the only senior dual club in the county, and should possibly be in a county semi final if they took their chances. I don't believe the crap RE were only in 1st 2nd gear. If the ref had any balls today ge should of let the last puck out happen instead of blowing up just after Rosenallis get the goal.

This is a club thats putting it up against the likes of the 2nd favourite team in RE in hurling championship and probably 3rd best team in football Championship O'Dempseys and their only training a quarter of what the non dual clubs are training and still there competing at the highest level. Fair play to the club and management of both sectors.

Rosenallis are an example to every club in the county as to how they go about their business both ion and off the field.

No negativity here

Likewise; no negativity here.

Rosenallis an honest bunch doing super work both on and off the field. Were left to rue the wides in 1st half. John Lennon got on a nice bit of ball when he came on. Hopefully he gets back 100% fit as he was huge loss to Laois this year.
Paddy Keating hurled well as well for them they just left it too late.

On a side note good to see Liam ĎFonzyí OíConnell back with Rathdowney Errill this year. Certainly worth a look at with Laois again.
Ryan Mullaney with a peach of a point against Camross yesterday as well. Hopefully he kicks on too when back with Laois in the new year.

As expected, Rathdowney-Errill and Camross go through to the semi-finals. Although R/E far from impressive and stumbled over the line a bit.

Camross will give Clough-Ballacolla a good game of it but I expect C/B to have more firepower going forward and to win with a bit to spare. The other semi is tougher to call for me. Before the season, I would have thought R/E would win as thought their team looked the best on paper. After seeing them the last couple of days Iím not so sureÖ theyíll need Ross King and Mark Kavanagh fit for it anyway.

2 very poor games today in OMP. Rathdowney Errill in 1st- 2nd gear did just about enough. Terrible bad luck for Mark Kavanagh another nasty looking injury and wish him the best in his recovery. Clough Ballacolla should account for them in next game.

Camross started strong and did what they needed to do. Didnít set the world on fire either and they wonít fear Borris Kilcotton the next day and should be the pick of the games in 2 weeks time.

Pitch cutting up fierce at times in OMP and only going to get worse in coming weeks!

I heard it was a harsh call, but that was from a Colt man! Colt/Shanahoe will have to stick together, as neither - and especially Shanahoe - have any future otherwise.
More likely to break up would be PRT, who were also demoted today. Back to Junior 'A' - the join up hasn't really brought more of a bounce to hurling in these two predominately football clubs. Again, though, Timahoe probably wouldn't have a team on their own any more.
Loads of good hurling talent coming through over there in Park Ratheniska Timahoe underage  and in fairness decent work been put into try and get to a higher standard. Would be a right kick in the stones for them if it were to disband. I highly doubt it will to be honest. Neither would do anything on their own hurling wise. Football will always rule supreme over that side of the county.
Underage success counts for very little though if it canít be brought through to adult level. Very disappointed with Abbeyleix going down. Loads of good young lads but need that marquee type forward to be a focal point rather than relying on Rowland for scores from frees. Abbeyleix should be thereabouts for winning junior A title if they get over the line today.
Colt Shanahoe hasnít taken off but will get rough before it gets better. Should go back up next year with Keyes back from injury.

Anyways back to senior championship topic..

Looking forward to 2 games today. Rathdowney should have 10+ points win over Rosenallis.

Camross Castletown has makings of a good game. Camross by 5-6 points. They seem to time championship at right time and wouldnít rule them being in a final yet.

What happens if AK get relegated? Will suspensions be on ice until they return to senior status?
Of course itís not just a Laois problem. The farce that allowed a Cork player to play in the Camogie final just illustrates the problem nationally!
Kileen safe for another year. The Heath Ballylinan relegation final.

Utd just aren't going anywhere with Ole in charge.  He's been in charge nearly 3 years now and I still don't see a style of play emerging.

Tbh United werenít doing great when Bruno came in Jan 2020, and results and his goals improved things. His arrival kept Ole in the job then. Last year was decent enough in terms of finishing in top 4, and getting to the Euro final, which they should have won. But they were nowhere near competing for the title

Yeah, itís just a matter of time really.  Loved him as a player but ultimately not good enough.
But itís clear things arenít improving at all even with Ronaldo there, as well as Sancho/Varane etc.  I do believe itís just a matter of time now before Ole goes. Always liked him as a player and is a likeable fella,  but things just arenít improving

Heís brought them as far as heís capable. Iíd have my doubts if he would be any way useful at another premier league club in management. A happy accident that happens to have United DNA in him.

Who youíd have as next manager Iíd wonder.

Ronald Koemanís days are surely numbered now with Barcelona after 2 defeats in a row in Champions League. 3-0 to benfica last night.

Big game for Utd tonight given our run of form (3 defeats in 4) and in terms of qualification from the group. You'd generally want to be taking 7 minimum from your home games but having lost probably our most winnable (on paper) away game will probably need to take maximum points at home.

AWB and Maguire out, shaw doubtful so could be looking at a defence of Dalot, Varane, Lindelof and Telles.
Could do with Man United winning the odd game here and there alright, donít think anyone wants to see Ole get the sack..!

Never in doubt  ;) 8)

The less said about that game the better. Dire stuff. Didn't even deserve a draw. Bruno's penalty summed it up.

It's not the only problem but the McTominay and Fred partnership is a recipe for disaster. No presence and just invite pressure on to you. McGinn and Villa dominated them today.

United were 2nd best for most of game. Some header to win it in fairness. Why they keep persisting with Fred is beyond me at this stage. Indeed a terrible penalty by Bruno. Injuries to Maguire and Shaw didnít help though shaw was poor when he was on the field.. Need to get it right for Wednesday night against Villarreal.

John Sugrue
P J Dempsey
Padraig Clancy
Kevin Doogue
Donnacha Phelan
Eoin Kearns

I think all of them expressed an interest but then Eddie did a fine Job getting beaten by Wicklow, so the review must have been positive from Fergal.
You "think all of them expressed an interest"?  Sugrue definitely didn't anyway. Out of the rest of them you named kearns would have been an interesting appointment. Can't really see what Donncha Phelan offers. He didn't exactly tear up trees with the minors!

Pretty sure 3 out of 6 of them lads had no interest in this particular role . Love to hear more of an explanation to this !?
I was wondering was Kearns in the reckoning for senior post tbh.

I see MŪcheal Quirke on ticket with Jack OíConnor for Kerry senior post according to independent.ie

Hi folks.

Got tasked last night with ensuring a couple of older friends of mine get to and from Lanzarote with no hassles. How do I get talked into these things  :). Flights are booked, it's just Covid requirements.

Flying Dub/LAN, had a quick Google last night and my interpretation was that they needed to just fill out a form on Spanish government website and get a QR code for travel out and fill out passenger locator form online for return journey? No testing involved?

Anyone recent experience, thanks.
Flew here yesterday with Ryanair. Upload your COVID cert on Spain Travel Health App. Itís scanned on entry at airport. Hotel required copy of EU digital certificate in hard copy. Good to go after that.
