I'd imagine Kerr will get a few half-hearted jeers which will last for  about 2 seconds, then he'll be forgotten about.

As usual, Fearon and those like him will be sadly disappointed that NI fans fail to let themselves down as he'd like.
Probably wont stop the boring f**ker from crying though.

I popped over to OWC. Interestingly, there's not even a thread set up about this. Even regarding yesterday's news.

Whilst enjoying this thread immensely, it  must be pointed out  that ziggysego is talking complete bollocks!

If Im wrong, I do apologise young sir.

and accepted!

"With 24 countries having approved the treaty, I am not sure whether the voters of Ireland should have a right of veto over the aspirations of all the other people of Europe. I am not sure whether that is, or is not democracy."

UK Foreign Office Minister, Lord Malloch-Brown.

Still voting Yes for the Lisbon Treaty?

I must say, Irelands Call is truly woeful...not to mention the bit about 'answering our country's call'. What country?  :-\

Since, at Ravenhill, the IRFU went back on the long standing convention of playing the host nation anthem, Ireland rugby team no longer represents us all, from all traditions. It represents only one political outlook on the island. The Unionist opinion isnt deemed worthy of respect by the iRFU and it was clearly felt that the Nationalist community, north and south, wouldnt have been magnanimous enough to repsect that. True or not, I dont know?
As such,  the IRFU may as well revert to the Republic's anthem only, home and away. The team isnt one I identify with any longer. Continuing with Ireland's Call serves no purpose. The damage has been done.

I've never had the pleasure of a visit to Croke Park, but is there ever going to be an end to  the self-congratulation and demand for every visiting team to be struck with awe at its magnificence. Yer man McGurk is the worst.

Stick to Windsor, much better.

I knew that was coming!  ;)

Perhaps its time for your President and her husband to review their policy of cosying up to these useless fakkers and according them a status they so clearly do not deserve.

Reasons to oppose the Maze:

Arsehole of nowhere.
Football pitch dwarfed by GAA pitch dimensions.
Far too big for the needs of football

oh go on, what was the Fearon hotel story?

He wanted to book a hotel in Dublin for the All-Ireland Final between Armagh v Tyrone. He was boasting how he got the room at such a good price and how Armagh would destroy Tyrone.

Tyrone won.

and Tony booked the hotel for the wrong weekend! ;)

:D

I'd like to have seen your confidence in the GAA's 'democratic decision' put to the test, yer holiness.

Its not "confidence". the democratic decision has already been made!!  ::)

If the Republic have a competitive game against the North during the period of time in which the GAA allow them in as tennants, the GAA cannot stop them playing as they have already said yes to any home competitive game.

But dont let that stop you making shite up.

Not making anything up, simply asking questions and voicing an opinion. You get  all aggro if you wish though.

From the man who comes on claiming the GAA wouldnt have NI in their stadium when they have already given this the green light for this to happen, then tried to presume we all found GSTQ "hard to swallow" when played in CP.

Mock Tony all you want, you are just as bad.

I think from some of the responses to my questions, I was correct to assume there would be issues raised withing GAA circles about it.... as there were regarding GSTQ with England. Perhaps you prefer to ignore that or pretend questions werent raised but sure, thats up to you.
You defend Fearon as you wish.

On the contrary, some of the IFA players, including the Sunderland substitute (surely this guy should be close to qualifying for the Guinness Book of Records in terms of the number of times he's been a Premier League Substitute) David Healy, have positively drooled about the prospect of playing at Croker.

It must never happen and any suggestion of it happening must be challenged forthwith, for the reasons I have previously articulated. >:(

Typical bigoted hatred coming from the same man who only a few months back was calling in the media for 'united' team to face Brazil at Croke Park. If the greatest  goalscorer in Irish football history wouldnt be  welcome there under your terms, who would be?
