Was there meant to be a covid review by the 'leaders' in NI today?

Djokovic will set the grand slam record, which could be as high as 24/25 by the time he finishes.

Hope he brings Traore with him if he comes.

Not convinced on Traore. Kick and run merchant IMO. For every wonder goal there's two dozen mishit passes and dribbles that come to nothing.

Not too many wonder goals scored by him either though.

Good to have some gaa discussion back on here but amazing how naive and silly some comments are.
Some facts.
We lost again at home to Donegal
We threw away a possible win at home to Monaghan but many big players didn't play well again but no Hampsey now captain and no McShane.
We beat Armagh away by five points and deservedly so.

Three decent competitive games but with little training done I'd not be reading too much into any win or loss.

McKenna's lack of form and the old age problem of midfield is still very evident but you can see the new management team are very much in experimental mode and trying nearly every player they have available to them.

We've stayed in Div 1 though just about and that's maybe down to avoiding Dublin, Kerry and Galway more than anything.

Delighted to see how our forwards are showing some freedom of expression again to shoot and try things that before it seemed almost coached out of them and to play the percentage and don't lose possession game. I have yet to hear the word I hate so much, recycle 😂

I get the feeling B&F had a plan to firstly stay in Div one, try out as many players as possible, keep McShane wrapped up for another month of recovery time rather than exposing him to the likes of Donegal, Monaghan and Armagh before the Ulster championship.

I'd say both managers see Ulster as a very achievable goal this first year and anything after that is a bonus.
Who do Ulster play in the semi this year?

There hasnt actually been much experimentation in terms of personnel. There's a lot of lads on the panel who've had little or no game time. Fair enough from the management to want to go with their strongest hand with very few games before the championship, but what we've seen so far is basically what we have for later in the year, barring a potential McShane return

I would to have liked brennan or mcalisky to get a run out to see their form. Suppose the management have a difficult decision as there are a very limited number of games to try out players before the championship.

Irish news this morning. 3 Clonoe men walked away from the panel. Seems odd to walk away after only 3 games

Orla on GMU this morning was doing her best to make out this was a big blow to Tyrone.

Is it not?

Who walked?

Mare of Eastwood was ok, but you knew what you were in for in the finale with the timing of certain revelations throughout the last 2 episodes.

The Wire seems to be held on a pedestal in here - good show but wouldn't put it in the top 5.

Are all stories not simply speculation, or is there anything that points towards druggies or loyalists?

Richie Donnelly hasn't really shown anything consistently to show he should be at this level.

Giggs not being given a place in the hall of fame due to an allegation.  Ronaldo better watch out, be a lot of awards to be taken off him if the same treatment is applied to him.

The Ronaldo one was a shocker to be honest, never even got on in their biggest game of the season.

Some craic on social media between the two boys.

Looks like Fury and his team have made a mess of this one, or maybe he doesnt even want the fight.

I think Fury definitely wants the fight.

It is a right pain in the hole with all this messing that goes on.

AJ v Fury & Wilder V to meet

You would imagine that Fury wins in July and Joshua wins in August, then a December fight in Saudi Arabia.

I don't see how a judge can have such a say in the matter, Wilder missed the deadline for the third fight and that should be that.  There is hardly a big demand to see them fight again.  The worry is that now is that Fury gets caught by Wilder through complacency or whatever or that Usyk beats Joshua.  Seems to be too much money involved for it not too happen though, you would imagine it made more sense for Wilder to take a few pound to wait and face the winner.

Anybody able to get links to the last 3 Mare of Easttown episodes?

All episodes listed on TeaTV last night . Tested ep 1 and it played fine

Episodes 5, 6 and 7?

Checked again... 1-4 available. 5 available on the 16th, 6 on 23rd and 7 on 30th. Of no use then!  :-X

Thanks anyway, I heard the others are out there but haven't been able to find them.

There's things like games played etc that lead to that last night but it has highlighted Utds problems all year.

Fred is nowhere near good enough, I've made this point many times. He gives the ball away in places that give away goals so many times. Roma, Villa and last night all goals came from him giving the ball in front of the goals and putting someone else under pressure. That's 3 in a week. Leicester in the cup too.
Add Bailey, Lindeloff, Matic, McTominay & Mata to that and there's huge issues at CB and CM. Is DVB going to improve? The back up full backs aren't near the standard either.

We haven't bought a right winger since Tony Valencia and he retired this week.

Unless the club spend money well this year Utd could struggle for the top 4 next year.

Add Jones to that list too.  United haven't had a top DM since 2008 and still lack a real dominant midfielder who can grab the ball and drive the team forward.  Badly need to buy a top striker too.  I would be after a CB, DM and CF.
