Trusty needs punted in the summer

It was always going to be a gimme for Hearts tonight. Celtic need to buck up their ideas. Too pedestrian and zero urgency

I admire the optimism on here but Motherwell's recent form has been shocking. Their last league win before beating the Huns last weekend was February. Sevco are also at their most dangerous when they've nothing to play for.

Quote from: tiempo on May 05, 2026, 12:11:51 PMThe 3 title contenders haven't all bagged a win on the same weekend this year
They all won on 11/12th April

It's over. Really needed Hearts to drop points against Sevco yesterday. I can't see them dropping any v Motherwell or Falkirk. And even if they did, we'll probabdly draw or lose at home to the Huns

You'd be forgiven for thinking it's propaganda for the PSNI, but I suppose the whole angle was to show how horrible their job can be.

There was a bit of a sob story on two brothers squatting on the lisburn road. One of them dying and the other one crying about losing his brother. Both drug users, both violent and the one dying an alleged rapist.

Nolan didn't tell you that, nor did he tell you about the 8 months torture they put local business owners through. He didn't show the interview with the owners' son, nor mention the fear and abuse he and his parents put up with, or that the police took 8 months to move these people on. Because that might make the police look bad.

Had someone go into the back of me at traffic lights about 15 years ago. Now it was noticeable enough oul slap but there was zero damage on either car... could see the panic in your man's eyes lol but I obviously said not to worry and we both went on with our lives...

Another time I was the villain who bumped into someone on Tates Avenue... I cracked my number plate but again no damage on his motor... exchanged details etc but again nothing came of it.

A woman during Covid scraped up the side of my car and only I was in the car at the time she'd have drove off, she was oblivious  ::) we sorted it without going through insurance and I sent her the invoice and she paid me the money over Revolut.

In those three instances there was face to face communication. The one that really fucked me off was some idiot who according to the note he left on my windscreen, "thought" he had hit my car. This was a 17 year old shitebox runaround I was using as a stop gap. There was no visible damage on my car, and (according to the note) none on his either. I messaged the number and said no need to worry about anything as there was no damage. Later than year when I went for renewal, I couldn't get an online quote that would have shaved £100s off the previous years premium. When I queried it the person with less than perfect English informed me it was to do with a collision I had earlier in the year!

If it's any consolation, the young lad can expect his insurance to go up at renewal also.

Clough really is one of those shit holes stuck in the past

Looking at the wider picture and how much obesity, poor lifestyle and related conditions like heart disease, diabetes etc cost the NHS taxpayer, maybe it's not a bad thing to try and shave a billion or two off that annual bill?

Those f**king Christians at it again, eh Dale?

Nygren is the best shite player I've ever seen

Elements of the Celtic support were pathetic last night. From that stupid protest disrupting the start of the match to booing Schmeichel - the most noise made all night from the home fans. Like a library in between.

Quote from: general_lee on February 15, 2026, 10:11:45 AMForget defamation proceedings, was there ever a robust statement released by RG outright denying the allegations? I know if I was completely innocent of something I was accused of, that would be my first course of action.

When he threatened the legal action against Burns he said he "categorically denied" the allegations.
So not his first course of action? He released a statement immediately after the Facebook post but didn't deny the accusations.

He said the allegations had been "investigated and dealt with" from what I recall.

I have my doubts about RG as much as the next man but this apparent attitude of "sure he didn't even come out and flatly deny it immediately, isn't that really incriminating?!" is very, very dangerous.
I always found it strange and I share your doubts. That's not dangerous - I know if I was wrongly accused of something heinous I'd be proclaiming my innocence from the get go.
