Quote from: tbrick18 on March 25, 2026, 04:53:48 PMHard to see anything but a comfortable Armagh victory against Tyrone. Tyrone, imo, were lucky that Offaly were so poor and Kildare imploded, otherwise it could have been Div3 football next year. Armagh, whilst not setting the world on fire, were consistently close in all their Div 1 games. Could have been relegated, but did about enough to stay up. Even if they don't improve on that level, it feels like they will still comfortably beat Tyrone.

On the other side of the draw, Derry should come through to the Ulster final - but we've seen in the league it depends on which Derry side turn up. If Derry from the Louth/Meath game shows up, we could get beat by anyone. If Derry from the Cork game shows up, we should get to an Ulster final. Cavan ran us close enough at the weekend, and there could still be a sting from Monaghan, so it's by no means a cert.

It has to be between Armagh and Donegal on the stronger side of the draw. I think there's still a question mark over Donegal if I'm being honest, at least in their AI credentials. But as it stands they are favorites for Ulster I think.
No-one mentioning Down and it's hard to see a Div3 side winning ulster, but they're steadily improving and wont be a walk over for anyone either.

If I was to bet at this stage - Derry v Donegal final.
Derry winning after extra time and penalties.
Murphy sent off for head butting McKinless and biting his own constantly out tongue off in the process.

;D  Reminds me of my son on his xbox.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Well I wouldn't be confident but if CorkDerry not LouthDerry turned up we would have a shout 🤓

Quote from: bennydorano on March 25, 2026, 09:49:30 AMIf Tyrone can't get organised & motivated for this game MOR is done. Like any intense Derby game form is a dodgy indicator,Armagh will be favourites but would anyone really be shocked if Tyrone won?? We can all live in hope of a 20pt drubbing to feast on all Summer but it's not gonna happen.

As bad as the league has been, I think Tyrone fans are expecting a decent performance and if they can't get up for a game v Armagh in the Athletic Grounds then its a long road back this year for the team and for MOR in general. There are times when we have looked half decent but that has been in 10/15 minutes spells throughout games and have put nothing together consistently over 70 minutes so far.

I think it will be a close game but Armagh are justifiably favourites and should win by a few points. But it has all the makings of a great game.

Winners of this game have a tough road to win an Ulster title - Fermanagh in the next round should be a gimme but its likey Donegal in the semi and Derry in the final to get past.
Which Tyrone fans are expecting a decent performance? The blind ones or the ones that haven't watched a Tyrone game since the 2000s? If we keep it within 10 we'll be lucky. Armagh better organised, better players, better athletes, better performances against better opposition coming into the game. Honestly not sure what people have been watching this year to think we'll be up for it when we haven't looked up for any game this year despite relegation to division 3 being a threat

illdecide

We all play it down...Armagh ones saying it's a 50/50 game and Tyrone ones saying if we can keep it to 10 pts we'll be doing well. We all know the league will have no bearing on this game and I will be expecting a pure ding dong battle with (hopefully) Armagh getting over the line by 1-2 pts, I will not be going home shocked if Tyrone were to beat us or evena draw...It will be close...
Derry will be too strong for Antrim
Monaghan v Cavan will be an interesting game, this will be a tight game and if Monaghan do not have some of their injured players back for this Cavan could sneak this.
Armagh or Tyrone will be too strong for Fermanagh.
Donegal will beat Down who are getting better and could benefit with a run of games but the sheep men will win this.

Armagh v Derry final...
I can swim a little but i can't fly an inch

Wildweasel74

I go for a Donegal v Derry Final, but then again Armagh v Monaghan not a big suprise either. Dery form last 2 games was worrying, if they played like the Cork game i wouldnt be worried about playing anybody, but the Cavan game was very poor. Monaghan looked decent on their final game.

Dire Ear

Any suggestions for a bar in Liverpool centre to watch the Armagh Tyrone game on Sunday?  Not ONeills though as I was there before and they showed a rugby game over the GAA game that was on
Cheers

Lanigans bar below the Adelphi Hotel. Just up the road from O'Neills.

Realistically, there's that many irish bars over here you can't go wrong

Going to the game on Sunday with Armagh cousins. They're absolutely loving it, easiest win they'll have in decades.
Think all Armagh fans will be disappointed if they don't win by 15 points?
Soupy and Kernan in the media in agreement.
Keep it near 10 and it'll be digestible.
Can Armagh stand in the way of Donegal or a resurgent Derry? I think Armagh strong chance for Ulster & All Ireland this year

Blowitupref

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

And what you are really thinking

Quote from: RedhandEastie on January 03, 2026, 08:02:03 AMArmaghs star beginning to burn out?
Losing Campbell, Grimley and the other retirees going to leave their bench very weak. No big star quality now either with Rian away- wouldn't have won AI without him.
Kieran Donaghy might have saw it coming?

You Tyrone heads are confident of ambush in this game.

RedhandEastie

Have to say I've been proven wrong by Armagh this campaign, really showed their quality and experience especially that game against Kerry. They were brilliant.
Armagh folk on here and twitter are really trying to temper expectations and keep feet on the ground but it's impossible. Absolutely miles ahead of Tyrone. Could be anything in it, 10, 20 who knows 😕

Wildweasel74

That Armagh team a forward line as small as Tyrones
