Quote from: Dunneroyal on March 29, 2026, 09:47:33 PMSay we would be 3rd in a tight race for Leinster. Would have dubs and Louth very slightly ahead. But honestly nothing between the 3 team. Meath front 6 players plus Conlon and Costello to come in will give any team nightmares.
However midfield still needs work. And defensively we are not there yet by any imagination. Lavin had his worst game in a Meath shirt , Rafferty I am not too worried about as even an all star can have a so so game, keoghan works his socks off, but you do wonder in championship football will a yard of pace catch him out, coffee didn't have a great game either but wasn't too bad
Caulfield just about did enough but last year he was the link man . Brennan was off today, be it with saves , closing down players , kick outs and shots on goal. I'd say billy is a happy man tonight with a medal in his pocket and looking likely to be the no 1 in first round of Leinster.
So plenty done right. Lot of work to do in other areas

No you won't see Hogan in goals I don't think. One poor game won't shift Brennan out of the starting lineup. Brennan is better on frees and accuracy overall.

Even in the early games in Leinster, Robbie will put out the strongest side to start. That seems to be his approach and starting spaces have to be earned.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

You may have a point. But Shane supple might think a change would work. Be interesting. I'd say GK, and righ & left back are positions that may be up for grabs next few weeks, and also the lynch/Conlon debate. Fascinating to see who they go with. The rest are nailed on starters and honestly even the ones I said could all start. Jones been fit could throw up a solid half back too.

Haha. Not at all. Louth have proven to be the form team and defending champions, Dublin are Dublin.

Either way Leinster should be a brilliant competition this year. Hopefully Cork can make Munster interesting, Connacht should be decent with the big 3 all going fairly well at different points in the league.

Donegal could turn Ulster into the new Leinster though the way they're looking ;)

Quote from: Tribesmen on March 29, 2026, 03:29:18 PMCork fucked up there when in possession. But lads the hooter has to go. Meath just keep the ball for 2/3 minutes then kick the ball out and foul continuously so that there's no time left. If the referee was keeping time he could allow more time on for cynical play. Seriously the championship will be a shitshow if this is allowed to continue.
Was this foul not a delay meaning it should have been a 50m bring forward, making a 2 pointer free attempt which can be kicked after the hooter? Refs need to realise this
