I know we use the word congested but every league in most sports is congested with a game or two every week. Players want to play games and fans want to watch games, but I do think it puts more pressure on managers to think on their feet.

It's very hard to turn things round if it goes badly early on, but it also exposes the rot before the championship.

Division 2 is the best there is, as teams can fall off or catch fire game on game. Cavan and Offaly will be in deep trouble come Sunday evening with 0 points.

I reckon Derry will beat us, but then again I'm hoping we might rattle them as the week goes on.

I see Bol is going for 800m.

Is it a thing where it's a waste of time with Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone going for the 400m on home turf?

Or is my hot take freezing cold...

Laura K and the likes in the BBC have not been pillorying the Tories for a decade. It was a love-in with Boris and they pretty much created Farage.

Andrew Neill, Spectator, Telegraph and the likes attacked the Tories when it was impossible not to.

Just like the Dems in the USA you wonder how bad they can be. I mean they don't seem to stand for anything and leave themselves open to ridicule ALL the time.
It doens't help that the middle class media love the Tories and now Reform, but Christ they are so so wwatery in everything they do.

Meath V Louth : Meath by 6
Kildare V Derry : Derry by 4
Offaly V Cork : Cork by 8
Tyrone V Cavan : Tyrone by 4

I mentioned elsewhere that I don't see us coping if Derry's midfield and half backs get moving. We have very big men in the middle but would not have the mobility of Derry's pair.
I'll be curious to see who amongst the walking wounded are back, as there could be a couple of massive boosts. This is a free hit, same as Tyrone, for Kildare but don't see us doing the job.

Malachy O'Rourke will surely lift the lads and they will get things moving this weekend. Cavan and Offaly will continue to be in bother.

I kinda switched off the analysis and then I see it on social too. Lads saying that the tactics were not wrong? That the kicks were hitting their mark but we lost the breaks essentially...
Kearney then said we lost 90% of the 50/ 50s! That's not luck and clearly something that is not working. Even if we were doing better we just kept kicking it back to a team with their tail's up.

And not to dampen spirits but their MOTM and a few more went off around 60 minutes and only then did we do anything.
We were not butchered in the scrum, so we can't even use that excuse of missing Porter and Furlong.

Is there any other sport where pundits treat professionals like a Go Games team. Ah they fought hard. They didn't give up. And Sam Prendergast must the U8 B captain as he can't get any criticism even though he takes an age to do anything.

If we are shite we can admit we are shite and most people would still support them.

Wonder Man is really enjoyable. Not really a superhero show from Marvel and Ben Kingsley is brilliant in it.
It's shot like an indie film too, so very different in style to the Marvel bits.

Looking to start Under the Salt Marsh then.

Ah yes the manliness of hitting a lad's helmet from behind - not one dirty stroke in that game mind...
Or the manliness of the constant belts on the hands of lads with the sliotar in hand.

The game now has much less 50/ 50 contests and the short passes reduce the fair hits that we all want to see. But the sneaky hits keep coming.

Do Cavan take any solace in pushin Cork and Meath so close or, as I'd see it, it's a total sickener.

Offaly fairly gave up against Kildare and have lost too many bodies and I think they will drop. They have to play Derry, Tyrone and Meath yet!

I just can't see Tyrone not getting their act together. Then Cavan, Kildare and Louth can go either way in terms of table position.

Derry will beat Kildare and I worry about our midfield mobility in that one. But we are much fitter than we've been in years and we are still missing a lot of lads.

I don't think we should be changing things a huge amount because the teams who will always be cagey are finding ways to be cagey under new rules.

The club games in Kildare have been so much better. There have been some dire finals in recent years where teams who could actually rattle Naas went so so negative.

I do agree a 2 point free for certain things is a bit harsh but they are not a gimme in open play, so I would be keen to keep that.

Not a second of Kildare v Offaly or Louth v Cork on League Sunday...
Like I got used to being ignored in Div 3, but it's Div 2,  so presumed all games would get something.

That's two gut punches for Cavan.
From a Kildare POV I'm happy as it suits us with a win and 2 teams on 0 points.

Tyrone cant really slip up again or else they will be down here for another year.

I had a feeling we would beat Offaly well, but the score flattered them.
We butchered a few goal chances and hit some bad wides.
The lads we are missing are not being badly missed so far...
