Minor hurlers unlucky against Armagh earlier today, final score Armagh 1-16 Down 3-09. Very close game by all accounts, Couple of late frees by Armagh clinched the victory. Apparently the down bus got lost on the way to the game and throw-in was delayed!

Very little news about minor footballers at the minute, other than they are training a couple of nights during the week. Heard there is currently a squad of 36 players which will be cut to 30 at some stage in the near future. Anyone know who is impressing at training or at the challenge game against Tyrone last week?

Can't imagine that Caolan Baille was playing as he's with the seniors at the minute. He'll make a difference, but not enough of one to challenge Antrim.

Minor hurlers beat by Antrim this evening, final score Down 2-16 Antrim 2-19. Scoreline flatters the Down team, apparently Antrim were without all the st Mary,s lads!

Good win for minor hurlers up in Letterkenny, Donegal 0-10 Down 2-11. No joy for the minor footballers in their opening league game away in Clones, Monaghan 2-06 Down 0-10

Anyone know the starting minor team v Fermanagh?

Good solid win - where did we find these big players?
The St Paul's full forward is some find.
Highlight of the game was an animated Sean Og sprinting onto the pitch to "persuade" Liam Murphy that he belongs in the dug-out and not to be sorting out some Fermanagh younster who hit a bad tackle near the sideline!!!
Fierce tame altogether

Another example of the 'Down Way' of doing things.
