Minor hurlers out against Kerry in O'Moore Park tomorrow. How are they shaping up this year and is much expected of them?
The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That's real glory. VinceLombardi

I can't say I know too many of the minors but I've heard decent things about their preparation with some positive practice match results. I'm told that there is a strong cohort of the group underage again next year.

Under 19s are playing Offaly tonight, team is up on Laois GAA facebook. Strong enough team on paper, few lads would have been an addition to the U20s if they had committed.

I didn't get to the minor match v Kildare. From what I was told really struggled for scores and Kildare's defence came out on top. Hopefully have plenty to build on for the next game. Kildare tough first game to have but also might bring on the players as well having that game under their belts.

Minor hurlers had a good win over Antrim and they now play Galway in phase 2.

Great for them to qualify out of the group but I assume Galway minors will be too strong for them.

The PRO

That's an incredibly poor result for the minor footballers tonight.
What on earth is happening in the development squads that these are the quality of players coming through to adult level?

Feel sorry for the young lads tonight not their fault but it's a pure disgrace it was allowed to come to this when was the lst time a minor football team from laois were beaten by 33 points

The Boy Wonder

The late great Con Houlihan RIP used to say after a Kerry defeat - House Private.
Hope we don't see a pile on here.

Yea brush it under the carpet and move on we have been doing that for years no one ever held to account

The Boy Wonder

Who said brush it under the carpet ?
My point is an online discussion forum with anonymous posters won't help address the issues.
I'm not suggesting that people shouldn't express their views but while some will be constructive others can be poisonous.

15 and 16 year old boys. Remember that.

Minor should go back to U18. It won't solve our problems but it will make them more mature and advanced. U17 is simply wrong for this sort of scrutiny.

Very encouraging display from the minor hurlers. Scoring 1-19 and running Galway to 4 points i reckon is as good a performance since reaching Leinster final in 2022. Look forward to seeing if they can build on it against Wexford next

Good performance is right great work rate and never gave up short Puck outs were costly. Welldone👍
